This is a good test for Liberals. None of them will respond, but I'll post it anyways. Name a country in the world where there is less racism than the USA. Name a country in the world where black people have more prosperity than they do in the USA. Name a country in world history where both the conditions are met.

Prior to the Civil War there was no income tax. Govt was funded by tariffs which the South paid a great proportion. When the Manufacturing North passed the Morrill Tariff and increases the tax rate from 15% to 37% then 47%, the South said see you later. Lincoln realized he couldn't fund the govt without the Tariff revenue that the South accounted for 87% of. Boom Civil War..... Thats the Cliff's notes version. The Civil War was fought over money, not slavery.

Read up on the Morrill Tariff. That had more to do with the start of the war than slavery.

I found it inspiring to see a CEO with so much power who respects everyones constitutional freedoms enough to care about even the objectively horrific content on the web. Old Westend1 was actually pretty intelligent and could debate actual issues from another point of view. I wish he would come back to the forum, because it's nice to have different view points voicing their opinions. We could all learn a little from each other with constructive dialogue.
