The education he can get later and it will likely be payed for by a Pro team. What he can't get later is the memories with his friends in HS. (Prom, Graduation, etc.) The kid may have $30 mil. in the bank by the time he is 18, so its hard to blame him or his parents for wanting to start his career early. This kid seems to have the tools to make it to the league, but how many other dad's out there think their kid is just as good and can do the same thing. I just hope this doesn't lead to a bunch of kids dropping out of HS to go pro when they don't posess the skills of a Bryce Harper. This happens alot in basketball with kids getting bad info that they will be top picks in the draft, and go undrafted when they could have gotten a free education.

Is there a TE in the spread offense they run....??? Ned is going to use more tight end sets this year. Dionte was getting most of the reps in practice. A 6'4" tight end could be a huge asset. As for most of the O-line returning, Ned lost 3 of their starters from last year including Huber(Baylor) and Nick Smith. Those 2 were beast on the right side. The O-line is a big question mark going into the season, which is probably why they will use the tight end some. They key to the Dogs season will be keeping Bellow upright.

Indiana Bulls White 3 GTB 1 GTB is still tied for the lead in their pool with a 2-1 record. The Sun Devils play the Georgia Knights at 1pm today. Both are 2-0 so far in pool play.

We still haven't set the date yet, but it will be a few more weeks. We will post when we set a date. Tell Jon to bring his gear, I'm getting too old to catch. ;)

JPRD has always had a very good team. They played Babe Ruth for many years winning multiple World Series titles until they were kicked out of the league. We have had some good games with them over the years.

A lot depends on the age of the kids and how much your select team is practicing and playing. IMO 7 yr olds should not be practicing 4 days a week and playing tourneys every weekend all year long. They will get burned out before high school. A few practices and tourneys here and there will only benefit them as long as it does not become a job. Also if your kids a pitcher, be careful of your coaches use of him. 12 year old arms are not made to throw 200+ innings a year. I've seen many coaches waste good arms by trying to win a meaningless game in tournaments. Its up to the parents to make sure the kids are enjoying themselves, and get them with a good coach who truly cares about helping the kids first, and not only his W-L record.

If your talking about the Babe Ruth alumni game, it will probably be at the end of July after the State tourney.
