I'm actually don't feel bad about this loss. Last year's team lost worse than this with Dunn and Branch. Coogs drop to 0-2 but I'll take that against Manvel and Carthage.

When we tighten up this offense. I see another regional title at least

We got demolished because we didn't have a game plan for RP. Decided to sit two of the RBs and throw 50/50 balls to Netherly all night against a D1 corner.

Watching it. Can't really gauge Manvel off the Dickinson game because the Gators are showing way more than they did against Manvel.

Watched the Dickinson game last night and will watch them against Ridgepoint tonight. Manvel with all that size speed and talent has some defensive issues. I think Crosby will flash some brilliance but will ultimately get beat down by a 5A D1 state contender. I'm thinking Manvel by 4 TD'S. I'm actually more interested in the Freshman game.

The pass to Kirkwood was with the short field however after the missed tackles nobody was going to run him down even if we played on 150 yrd fields.

I think Prieto knew he could run the ball on Carthage but that was not the goal. I believe he was more interested in getting the QB some game reps. With the defense on the field as much as they were it would make sense to run the ball to give them some rest. But they did not They actually went in to hurry up. Could be bad coaching or a method to the madness. Either way he lost a winnable game

Not giving Crosby any chance against Manvel this week. Manvel looks like a solid 6A team. On another note. Crosby’s ranking actually went up after the loss to Carthage. Thats kinda weird to me.

TBH I think the game plan was to get work in the passing game against a very disciplined defense. Crosby literally ran the same play on that last scoring drive. Those hole were big enought to run a truck through. Not to mention going single coverage all night on a D1 talent WR. We did the same thing last yr against Magnolia and gave up a ton of points but we found our corner at the end of the day

BTW Crosby play calling is very vanilla tonight. They are using this game to work on some things which is what these games are for.

I think they played Cedar Hill barely lost to a 6A team that went to state. I remember they used to schedule Cedar Park every year. Same classification but different div.

One decent year? Sheesh. Setting that bar kinda high huh chief? Is Carthage really the boogey man every one makes them out to be? I understand they running thru 4A D2 but so is Aledo (5AD2) and folks aren't afraid to schedule them.
