Ozen has a good team, but they are not overloaded with talent like they use to be in the Boutte era.
You do realize they didn't have anyone 6'10 on the 07' team that went to state either huh?
No, but they had 6'7" Chris Richard who went on to play at Tulane and some professional basketball over seas.

Donta Wilson may be the best pg in this area. Being only bout 5"7 on a good day, the Lil man plays like he's 6"7 and can hold his on ground !!! Central can be one of the Top teams in 4A but yesterday they got out coach and out played cause not one time I seen the central coach get up and call anything... Gd luck to both teams !!!
I saw the Central coaches huddle up during a time-out and talk
I saw that also. Those fools called a timeout and had a coacheshuddle. Then sent the players back out on the floowithout any instructions. SMH
 5.
Sorry I doubted my Tigers! gREAT WIN! BlueDove, Beaumont teams get run by Silsbee like I said!
Seriously? Central will be fine once they get more games under their belt! The Jags started 3 sophs and 2 freshmen. I have a feeling they'll get another shot at the Tigers.
 6. I think I will make this game!
 7. Well I'm still here and will be here. Anyone that follows WB football knows that this was going to be a mediocre year at best. We will be back to handing out ass whippings in the very near future. I say give this staff a chance. And if Flannigan had the luxury of playing in a 6 team district where 4 teams make it in, he could make the playoffs every year like Stump did!  ;D

They got to get some turnovers and at least get some three and outs or something and that has not been seen alot this year. and for the qb start i say let the junior get another game started to see if he can get some things moving if not you can always put clack back in and roll with him but the Offense when facing a good team needs to score some points to help that defense out!
I would like to see the 10th grader playing JV taking snaps on varsity. He has a great arm and is a really good athlete. Plus he can't do any worse than Clack or Padia.
WOW Yeoj you must be the 10th graders friend cause if you know anything about WB and seen the JV kid play and practice you know that kid is not even close to being ready for Varsity...lol..maybe next year he can make a play for the spot but I would bet against it, Also Mouse your comment on Clack being mobile is a joke as well, clack has the least amount of yards on the ground on the team and has been sacked at least 6 times per game, where as in two games Padia has shown good running and scrambling and has 2 rushing TDs  and more rushing yards than clack, oh yea clack has 0 rushing TDs!  All said no matter who starts they lose to north shore 9 out of 10 times, but would be nice to see Flanagan get some experience for Padia since he will most likely be the guy next year!
You must be Padia or his parent. He's a hard worker but not the answer. And the 10 grader is as ready as Clack or Padia is. Its not like either one is setting the field on fire!

 10. The best QB in the area is Robert Mitchell! He just happens to play on the worse coached team in the state. This kid will make some serious noise for whatever college gets him.
 11.
This brings me baq to my point, How do we let a coach that goes 4 rounds, (Stowers) get away the next year..
Let get away? Didn't Stowers apply for a job in the DFW metroplex every summer of every year he coached at Central? Wasn't he from the DFW area? Sounds like he wanted to go home and he took the first opportunity that presented itself.
 12. Get real! WOS is good! And they are the best in their district. But, not best in the area. It took turnovers and bad coaching for them to get 14 on a team that Ozen could have very easily dropped 70 on! PAM and WB would beat them. Nederland, Ozen, and Vidor would beat them. So the answer is a resounding NO!
 13.
Yep, forget what Stump did for WB after the underachieving Rabb years. He moves to Atascosita and has them on the upswing, but let him lose a game to Westfield, and the bashing begins. SFA85 must be a wannabe coach. All he does is bash other coaches. Wow, what a guy. Never coached a down in his life.
First of all yes Rabb did suck! But, WB had alot of talent there at the end of Rabb's reign. Evident by all the close loses. Uninformed people keep saying "what Stump did for West Brook". Stump was losing at Kelly before he got the WB job. He wasn't this offensive guru, there. His program was taking it on the chin. The talent at WB hid his average coaching ability. Research the DI talent WB sent to college in Stump's tenure as head coach. And with all that talent WB won one district championship and never made it pass the third round of the playoffs. Now that's the definition of underachieving!
 14.

Any team with equal or better talent beats Stump! No wins against westfield! Katy beat him like drum every time he played them. One win against North Shore! No wins against Humble! Dude leaves a legacy of underachieving teams. One season he has the top back in the state and doesn't make it out of the second round, go figure... Smh
Out of curiosity, were you ever a coach for WB?
Nope! Just a loyal fan to the program  that calls it how I see. I'm a WB graduate and lifetime Bruin. Now out of my curiosity which statement, made by me, is inaccurate?
 15. What's with all this love making between the pirates and panthers? I had to check and make sure I was on the right site. Where's the smack talk? This is high school football people! Vidor by 75 or Ozen by 200... Come on!!! What's the world comig to? First Destiny's Child breaks up and now this! A brother doesn't have anything to believe in...  :o
 16. 0-4 Central vs 0-4 Lumberton Somebody's 0 must go!!!! I just hope Central plays with 11 guys on defense all game long!!! I expect Mitchell to run wild and throw a couple TDs. Central by 9.
 17.
Westfield has always had Stump's number. I believe he is 0-4 against the Mustangs. 18. This one will be over early unless PAM turns the ball over. The Titans score as much as they want and the Deer score not very much...
 19. If WB's offense can make first downs and keep the defense off the field, I think the Bruins will have a shot to win. I think this game will be closer than most people believe.
 20. Nederland Ozen Vidor Central Unless one of these teams gets the injury bug, they're clearly the better teams in this district.
 21.
This was a very funny topic. Now on to the facts. Because that's what I deal in. While the kids coming out of King MS were good the best one actually went to Ozen and it wasn't Nigel. I'll let that sit on your brain cells for a minute. I watched King play all last year and Nigel is a wonderful kid,but he is not varsity ready nor is anybody off that team. Ozen did end up getting Josh Boyd. Now some of you will say he didn't play yeah I know but he was the BEST PLAYER at King PERIOD. The kid will end up being at least 6'5 or 6'6 when it's all said and done. And he plays defense like no other and score at will. He doesn't get the hype that Nigel gets because he didn't play a lot of summer ball but if Central puts those kids on varsity they'll be sitting ducks trust me.
Boyd is ridiculously athletic. He's a two sport star. He's actually a better football player than he is a basketball player. And no, he is not better than Pearson. Both have bright futures. And Ozen and Central will both be really good.
 22. I just want to see the Bruins improve on tackling and stay in rhythm on offense. If we do that we'll be ok.
 23.

I didn't witness it but anybody that can throw for over 400 yards on a 5A defense, has my vote.  Ozens QB.
Amen! That's gotta be an Ozen record. Also have to consider J. Jones from Ozen too, bc he was responsible for almost half of those yards. Were these screen passes? Missed tackles? Just wondering if Jones created a lot of these yards by making WB's D miss? 415 yards on 17 completions tells me there were a lot of big plays.
Screens and short passes that their WRs took to the house. Mostly on 3rd and longs I might add. They ate us up with their speed and big plays. Caught us in a couple jail break blitzes also.
 24. Stump comes is DAL in district! All track and field people know what that acronym stands for.
 25.
If you looked at the numbers on West Brooks sidelines you will know what he was talking about the vote.  Stopping transfers has hurt the Brooks numbers and it is evident with the amount of kids on varsity at a 5A level.  There numbers are just now getting back up.  Ozen won and congrats to them.  But, all of you Stump haters from the past who have not been on here yet because you cant come on here and say "I told you so", everyone knows Stump would not have allowed what happened last night to happen.  Ozen could not beat him.  He finds ways to when!  And if you think he won't do that at Atascocita your crazy.  It may take a year or 2, but he will win.  Too good of a coach not to.  Stump haters, you got what you wished for.  So sit back and watch.  Gonna be a long year.
If Stump and his under achieving staff would have coach last night Ozen would have blown WB away! Ozen's speed beat us last night. They beat us with the big play. All their scores except two were on 3 and long. Hell they converted 3 4th and 10s on the game winning drive. Congrats Panthers on the win. You guys made more plays than we did. As for WB, we will be fine. I'm excited about what this team will do when they really get the new systems down.
