How is the crowd for both sides tonight??

usedtobe... I dont know where to start... We are in yr 3 of our football program.. where were the Texans in yr 3?? Get a brain 95% of start ups takes about 5 to 10 to yrs to start winning on a normal basis.... I think being new it will be an easier transition into the FBS  we have less baggage and since we are a new program our attendance is higher than if we were to stay put in the SLC for years and years..... It will get us more exposure, higher paying money games, and if RAY cant get any improvement by 2014 we can get a better coach than if we were to stay in the FCS and SLC.... Plus we would be to play better opponents at home... more folks would rather see ULL or Arkie st than seeing Central Oklahoma...

Who is your source ATX31?? Someone within LU or just a guess.

Title I think we have a shot at 6-6 this year as we have 12 games.

OH and by the way we also have the best overall facilities in the SLC from top to bottom.

Title... You need to do a bit of research.... We are in our second year of football we made some big strides this offseason getting upgraded coaches....but the rest of our sports have been getting better every year. We were 3rd in the commisioners cup this year in the SLC and the WE WON the mens side of the commisioners cup.. We can compete in the SBC, WAC or CUSA. We had down years in volleyball, womens basketball, and baseball but we are just 1 yr past an NIT visist and 2 yrs from the NCAA's for the wbb team and 2 yrs out from a regional tournament in baseball. Our golf team is 1 of only 4 fcs schools in the national championship tournament this year and we were #3 in the country in golf just 3-4 yrs ago.... We are getting better all the time.... Get your facts right before coming on this board and spouting your Lamar hating nonsense!

Skip our budget is way higher than that of McNeese. Our Athletic budget is in the range of $$13-$$15 million a year

I am not really a nay-sayer but a frustrated fan  (JUST GLAD THEY PLAYED WITH HEART AND DID NOT QUIT). I think we should give Woodard more time but I would really still say that replacing TW and getting a full time defensive cordinator w/ d1 experience will help this team....

I understand that we are a second year program but the fact that our coaching staff cannot teach the fundementals to these players and make adjustments in the game is on the coaches. We were almost beat by IWU who is a new football playing school with much less talent... WE WERE OUT COACHED... and that seems to be the running theme...  I am a seaon ticket holder as well and rarely miss any games... but you will start seeing the crowds get smaller and smaller if we keep getting out coached, look at what roc did to our attendance.

The rumor is that he was asked to be moved to the scout team and he quit. Not sure if that is true or not but that is the rumor. I do think the 3 running backs we have now are better than Hussey.

Willie Jefferson??? Isnt he at SFA after being booted from Baylor after 2 drug arrests?? He had 2 chances... SMH quit being so hypocritical...

Coach27 I do relize that it is peoples support for family but how many other people have been laid off.... it is inevitable as these positions are EXTRAcirricular activities.... if the budget was not in such bad shape we would not be seeing cuts across the board.

I called Pat Knight a few months ago... I will say what I said then... He will do a good job for us. I agree with Lazeek and it will be even better if we can get Matt Cross to join the staff.

I called Pat Knight a few months ago and I will stand by it... I think he can do a good job... he was in over his head in the BIG 12 but that was his first job. I think he can and will thrive in the SLC or the WAC. I think that if you add Matt Cross we will have a great coaching staff with a good coach moving up the ranks.

I agree with you UNLV... I will take Knight over most of the other people on the list... I just do not want to drag our feet and lose our chance on him as well.        With all the names that we have had on our list I would have taken 1st Jason Capel, 2nd Terry Evans, and 3rd Sean Sutton with 4th being Pat Knight....            (Capel may have just been a pipe dream that was leaked out, but it got my hopes up)

I am getting more and more disappointing with the way our admin is handling athletic decisions.. The handling of the hiring of a new bball coach and the way we are handling the WAC situation... I sure hope we do not let some good things pass us up... I know Sutton did not have a great run at OSU but he really did not get a chance to build his team... I have a feeling we are going to end up like UofH.... They should have taken a chance on BCG but instead chose James Dickey  now BCG is at Tech and UofH still sucks. I know many of you do not like Sutton but I think he is a better coach than Knight and he has something to prove.

Roc is a great recruiter and has always been a good person every time I talked to him and interacted with him. It is to bad that it did not work out as I was pulling for him. I wish him luck for his future and that all ends well for him.

This score should not have even been this close. The refs were terrible.....  Roc did a good job tonight and the team played well....   We were not out coached this game.  We made some good adjustments this game and played very good defense.   Having lamb as a 3 has changed his game and re lit his fire.  Hopefully this win will ignite a win streak

Shields has a better shot of beating Silva than GSP does. At least Shields body is genetically big enough to be a legit middle weight... GSP is to short and his reach to short.

Its hard to get a great coach while we are in the SLC...  I know that this is getting beat like a drum but a move to the WAC will open a lot of doors for us....  I sure hope we move to the WAC!l lol

Lil Knight is not a Big 12 level coach.. He got in over his head to soon. He did not have the experience to coach at that level. I think he would be a good coach at the SLC or WAC level.

Lazeek and Coach who would you like to see LU try to go after?? I would like to look at BCG, Gottfried, or Lil Knight..   I say dream BIG....
