  2. I just need someone to try to explain this one for me...I am honestly just trying to understand why FOX4 decided to show the Lamar game over a Nationally Televised game between two top 15 teams (OU vs KSU)? On top of that, the Lamar game was not even in HD, so the quality was no better than my video camera at a JV game.  Not that anyone was watching. The way I see it is, if you can't get them to go to the acutal game, then why show the lower level of talent anyway? Typical SETX way of thinking. Very poor judgement. Congrats to Lamar on the win though. A win is a win.
  3. CO WILSON Week 1:  7th Grade A beat Bridge City A 22-6 I believe 7th B was just a scrimmage 8th Grade B team beat BC 6-0 8th Grade A team LOST to BC 14-6 (QB for BC is a player. That kid has to have the future for BC looking up, he was fantastic) Week 2: 7th Grade A&B combined team beat Vidor Black 8th Grade A&B combined team beat Vidor Black 30-6 (fyi, it was 30-0 in the first qtr, it was ugly)
  4. I think you have to be realistic here...WO-S is far and away a better team. I do think FairChief will have the Indians ready to rumble, but Stangs team speed will take this game to the verge of being ugly. The Indian D will be slashed and thrashed I am afraid to say. Hope they can prove me wrong, but after watching up close and personal the past few weeks, you don't just obtain speed over night. WO-S 34 PN-G 14
  5. I have no idea how in the heck PNG is ranked...get real. That's all mystic right there..I know they didn't watch the game, that's for sure.
  6. I think this team is in a bind in this district...its going to be hard pressed to get in the playoffs and even if they do...it might be the 4th place spot. Ned Vidor Central Ozen I think we get eaten alive by all 4...and honestly. i don't think any of them will be that close....I know i know,  its the first week....I will come back and add to it again after I see how they do against WO-S...its going to give you the judgement you need to see how they deal w/ the team speed they will face vs 2 Bmt teams...time will tell for sure.
  7. I agree bama...no worries, no matter what is said in a thread in which PNG is brought up, someone is bound to think we are over taking the thread & turning it into a PNG Thread. Funny thing is, its never us...PNG envy much? LOL Now, back to what i said originally, I agree this WONT HAPPEN, but in this hypothetical thread of what ifs and Vidorians trying to cross the river from Orange County to Jefferson County I thought it would be a fun and different approach to renaming teams.
  8. Didn't make the scrimmage myself, but from what i heard from more than 3 others is that this team is in for a long season....just not up to speed in so many key areas & really not enough depth to make a push at the top teir of the district. Albeit the district in a whole will be down period other than that school across the tracks that has a ton of talent coming back. (hard to admit) #longnightsattherez
  9. Uproar to ensue...  :o I always thought since both ISD's in Mid County can't seem to do much w/ their prospective issues at hand, the day would come that the 2 ISD's could combine & make one solid ISD. Tri-City ISD School: Tri-City High School Mascot: Cherokee Colors: Black & Purple & Silver Gotta keep the Indian theme for the ability to keep Cherokee. I mean let's be realistic anyway, Nederland folks know Cherokee is by far a better fight song. School Colors.. Black from Ned, Purple from PNG, Silver as the new color (Silver is a good medium between Gold & white) Can you imagine the teams that could be put together? My guess, the kids wouldn't care a bit once they got used to it. The parents?? Well we know that's another story. Although, I must say there are quite a few parents out there for both sides that one spouse went to the rival school. So that hatred can't run that deep. LOL. Something to think about for sure...
  10. Talk about odd...Cibolo Steele which sits exactly 5 minutes from Converse Judson & Converse Wagner were put into a district w/ Corpus Christi schools & 3 SA schools...while, Judson & Wagner were put w/ New Braunfels & San Marcos schools even though Cibolo is closer to those schools than Converse.....weird! District 28 Cibolo Steele Corpus Christi Carroll Corpus Christi King San Antonio E. Central San Antonio Southwest South San Antonio District 25 Converse Judson New Braunfels New Braunfels Canyon San Antonio Wagner San Marcos Spr Br Smithson Valley
  11. Wow, LaMarque & Stephenville both drop to 3A......Possible 2012 State Championship game right there.
  12. Honestly I would love to sit here and say we will roll the Lions..i am just not as confident as the others....there were way too many penalties, just seemed to be in disarray a lot on getting the play in...sure they had moments of looking good, but they also had moments of looking truly brutal. I know it's a new system and they are progressing at a high level..but it is our first game away from home, it's the pressure of expecting to win, we shall see....i will say this though.....if we can pull it off, it will go a long way to giving these young men the confidence needed to battle through the gauntlet that is....20-4A. SCALP EM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Hmmmm, sounds like we got our man....Look forward to the passion and young intensity he will bring to PN-G
  14. Looked up a few articles from some of the West TX papers...seems he thrives on defenses that attack!! He comes from a group of young offensive minds that all had ties to another football power..Brownwood. Seems they have some great schemes.....something to put the district in a tizzy.....I sure look forward to it!!! SCALP EM!
  15. I look forward to energy & excitement he will bring to the Reservation. I wonder how many assistants he will bring w/ him. UHHHH assuming he gets the nod.....
  16. It does leave Faircloth....I don't know that I would go as far as saying Garrett was in the top 2. Faircloth on the other hand....well, it looks like a lil MOJO GO JO is in the works.....soon enough!!!!
  17. I am sure its possible the txt could be to inform him the position is being filled.....I guess we shall see, ya never know...or do ya?
  18. I truly think Faircloth is our guy, and if for some crazy reason he turns out to not be the right fit, I think you have to look towards Griffin & Mcangus. I read on another post that Garrett just up and left a post mid season.....something about that just doesn't sit well. Just my opinion.
  19. If Faircloth has been back here twice.....as has been said on this board, you would have to say....well......you get the picture.....things are looking up in Indianland....SCALP EM!!!
  20. Coach Resch for Huffman had a great game plan and the boys from both sides played well.
  21. Last I heard it was PNG 42-14. I didn't hear the score, but i do know its a FINAL
  22. Central is such a Jekyl and Hyde team so to speak. You just never know which one will show up. Going off the most recent team they are putting out there, I say PN-G takes this one.
  23. I think I am gonna have to think on this one another day or so. Both of these teams are playing solid ball right now!
  24. WO-S certainly has had a great run over the last 20years or so. Plenty of talk around these boards sayin 21-3A is way down this year. Anyone think this is right? Can we have a rep from 21-3A truly dominate in the playoffs this year? What about 2A? EC & Buna put on a show tonight. Can they do it on the State stage?
  25. Depends on the classification set up in MS. But, 80 Wins is 80 Wins.....I have to stick to TX Football. I would like to see if they are this passionate about football. As passionate as SETX
