They are certainly lookin very strong right now in this district. But region 3 is one of the toughest to get out of.

That is certainly a great point. I didn't really even take account the rules changes they would have to abide by....just looking at it strictly as a competitive athletics thought.

How do you think Kelly would do in 22-4A if they decided to leave TAPPS and join the UIL the way Houston Strake Jesuit did??? It would certainly be intersting this year. Mike Long has a pretty good thing going on over there with the Bulldogs. His knowledge of all the 22-4A opponents would certainly give him a good starting point gameplan wise. Could make for some suprises.

Cherokee I can't imagine another fight song that get's its fans up and going crazy and then on the other hand just flat pisses off the other fans as much as this one. Of course that tends to happen when the band plays it on every first down like they do at PN-G.

I happen to like the all black uniforms Nederland wears. The piping over the shoulder pads and stripes on the pants give that old school look. The numbers on the helmets are a nice touch as well. PN-G would look a little better if the Purple on the helmet could match the purple on the uniforms. its always just a little off. I am still a huge fan of the old school PN-G uni's from the late 80's & Early 90's. The one's w/ the zig zags.

OK, we know this will never happen...BUT, for the fun of. PNG & Ned merge = Name: Tri-City Tomahawks, Colors: Purple & Black Plus since you have a somewhat native american theme, you can still use "Cherokee" as the fight song. Realistically, we know there would be blood shed before they would combine, but man it sure is fun to dream.

I think Lumberton is certainly out to prove it is for real. I think walking into the Reservation and coming out w/ a win, one would have to give the Radiers props! I just think it might be too much of a hill to climb. My guess is PN-G in a tight one.
