Service sophomore quarterback J.J. Christy also threw a pair of TDs last weekend to lead the Cougars to their first win over South. THE SKINNY: Defending state champion Service narrowly escaped with a victory last season, coming from behind in the fourth quarter for the win. Both teams run the spread this year. 3. its about over now. #1 goes down. I'm speechless.
  4. #1 coming back dang it if it wasnt raining I woulda went. I blame Coop late 4th now
  5. OMG soon as I say it they go in the shotgun and score.
  6. Yeah, except for fumble recovery return, South is dominating Bartlett! yeah, shocking to me. Thats what happens when you dont have a passing game.
  7. knew I shoulda went to this game, upset in the making right now.
  8. he reminds me of the guy always barking at the Nederland games. > make it stop raining Coop
  9. if your listening the guy in the background is annoying.
  10. Also, both RBs from Bartlett from my understanding are being recruited by Oregon.
  11. SOUTH vs. #1 BARTLETT RECORDS: Bartlett 1-0, South 0-1 TIME: 7 p.m. PLACE: Anchorage Football Stadium RADIO: FM 93.7 LAST MEETING: South won 42-14 on Aug. 23 of last year PLAYERS TO WATCH: South senior Ryan Hanley caught three passes for 49 yards in an 18-15 loss to Service last week. Bartlett's Cyrus Chenault (198 yards) and Jamal Hale (182 yards) are the top two rushers in the state. THE SKINNY: Top-ranked Bartlett will bring the state's most potent running attack to the AFS turf, while unranked South will be looking to rebound from a tough 18-15 loss to Service in last week's Cook Inlet Conference opener. Bartlett's running game is RIDICULOUS! 8) this should be the link [Hidden Content] gametime is 10pm Texas time
  12. LOL--Yeah but TT sure did suck out of state last year---especially when they went to Oklahoma. so both of them suck
  13. All I know is, I have pretty close contact with the Johnson family and from what I know, many schools are offering him to play QB. West Virginia, who he has verbally commited to, wants him as their future QB, no other position. Michigan, Baylor and several others are recruiting him as a quarterback. There are schools that are recruiting him as an athlete but he is not considering them. Bleed, who knows, in the end you may be right. But I know that Jeremy wants to play QB and his desire and interest is to play quaterback at the next level and he is working towards that goal. I believe that a nationally ranked top 10 QB by most the recruiting services will end up playing quaterback at the next level. he's a lock for the starting job in 2010. I said it and I meant it. Scooter, I hope you are right for the young man in question. But let me tell you a story. My youngest brother played quarterback for LaMargue in the late 80's. His Junior year he threw for 3,000 yards and 30 TD. Went to Oklahoma State and never played because of a quarterback named Gundy. Nothing is a "LOCK" my friend but a college education is forever. The QB thats there now is a senior I do believe, so it will be wide open for him barring injury. I do agree about the education part.
