DV you need to realize FOOTBALL is #1 in Texas. Always has and always will be. If anything, the UIL watered it down so that "inner city" FOOTBALL teams would have a prayer, instead of watching the (ahem) Johnny Suburbs team win state championships after state championship, while the inner city folks could only helplessly sit and watch. Basketball is no more than an afterthought. LOL. ;)
not to mention football brings in the most money, THATS why they went to 4, basketball had absolutely nothing to do with it trust me. ;)
No they SPEND the most money!....Football USED to be king in Texas, but now its all about the roundball here! ;D
Joke of the night goes to you DV with that one LOL ;D

Can't anyone know what he means but him...And if he says his comment was meant the way he says it was meant then well that's the way it was meant. And as for AJ... I am sure Ford is very well aware of the situation he wouldn't be a very good coach if he didn't. Now.. the boy did get kicked out of athletics at King... And why wouldn't Price kick him off the team? Thats a good coach. Stewart did it in 08. Not just one but five, i believe it was.. and they were ALL starters. Dayton still went to state that year. Some coaches don't care if you are the star or not.. you can't stay with the program then you need to move on.
Where is frozen baby when you need him lol..jk ;D
stuck on a ice pond probably. I am sure his side kick will be sure to make some smart alec remark when he sees it... I was just making a point.. thats all.
I know, you must admit he would have responded about another history lesson lol.
He wont say a darn thing bout 2008: 46-13 Dayton vs BH ;)
That's almost as bad as.............nevermind lol ;)
yeah, i know. ;)

Really do not like this decision.
so the new 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A will all be split districts?
Correct. Only 5A and 6A will keep regular type districts.
I wonder what genius came up with that dumb idea for the new 4A smh. Wonder how this is gonna fly over as far as travel.......... Silsbee vs. Yates Predictions

First of all, the year was 1996, not '99. Secondly the team that beat Silsbee was Tyler Chapel Hill, not Jacksonville. Third, Silsbee did not go to the state semifinals the next year. Silsbee lost to CH 66-62 and then Cleveland knocked off CH 80-63 in the next round. BTW, Silsbee was undefeated at 31-0 entering that game, not "undefeated" at 31-1. ;)
96? I thought it was later than that. And thanks for the team name, now I'll have it. As you can guess it's one of my favorite stories to bore grandchildren with. You must have been there and if you were then like me you know about fate. Yates, may be a strong favorite but when fate takes a hand..... Out of curiosity far did the Tigers get the next year? Wasn't Holden back?
Actually, after double checking it was '97 not '96. Silsbee lost to Cleveland the next year in quarterfinals 60-59.
96 was the year Lincoln almost got by Silsbee again but that time in the 1st round if i remember, Immanuel McElroy was a Soph....97 was suppose to be Lincoln versus Silsbee yet again but Wheatley beat Lincoln that year i wanna say regional semi or regional final
