to be honest i didnt know SC existed until yall got into 19-4A, thats how much i actually paid attention to your Greatest Choke on Turf  ;) ::)

I think they beat Huffman!!! Tarkington is going to be much improved and the only team in our district that is a for sure bet is Coldspring!!!!! I see the district being a pretty tight race for more than a few teams.
Yes, they beat Huffman's freshman 3rd string QB.
The other 21 players didn't show up?? I Love Bone Headed Excuses!!!!!!
Please. ::) Huffman had a Sr. QB who led a very pass heavy offense,  he got hurt. They had to put in a Fr. 3rd string QB who had no experience, because the backup QB who was also a WR was injured a couple of weeks earlier.  If Townley played the gave Huffman would've won. The game didn't matter though,  Huffman still went to the playoffs and Shepherd didn't.
Whats were the 9th grade QB stats from that game? Just asking....
The only time you may even see close to 20,000 is on September 13th -- and even then... you'll have to be looking across the field to see that.  ;D
What team will be getting their L at the hands of SC on 9/13?
Well..  win or lose, we show up to support our team.
I was surprised last year when we traveled to play SC in the playoffs.  Not too many fans showed up on their side and Vidor's side was pretty darn full.  Then again, they "think" their enrollment is less than 1400...... ;D
Not many SummerCreek Fans showed up, because many SC fans have more things going on in our lives that are just as important, or more so, as high school football. The SummerCreek area has a lot of business owners, and Oil company upper management/Fortune 500 middle/upper managers that live there, and do have the time to rabidly attend the games. I personally was in Rio De Janeiro/Brazil during that game, and I am not going to re-schedule a important business trip for a high school playoff game. I did hear that SC had about a thousand people there.
But you stated under your other screen name of "DEMDAWGS" that yall have 20,000 plus fans though, is that not true?  :o ??? ::)
Im still waiting for an answer to the question......Just wanna make sure i really saw all those empty seats during the SC/BH game like everyone else did.
The BH game was on a Thursday.  That's a tough day for most people.  Also, BH really didn't provoke a lot of interest. It was pretty much a given SC would hang an "L" on them.
Not from the game i watched it wasnt a given, and who cares its a Thursday, i sat in Shotwell Stadium on a Thursday Night and watched #1 Abilene play in front of 10,000 ppl, the day of the week doesnt matter to a GOOD fanbase.  ;)
Aaron is dealing with the same thing as Johnny Football. He wants to be a Longhorn but they already have a commitment from the top qb in the state and in my opinion from watching the film the 2nd best dual threat in the country behind deshawn watson. Sharp plays the game well from the head up and moves well but he's a little thin and arm strength could be an issue in a vertical passing game. He runs well and is fast but he's not a natural runner like Heard who rushed and passed for over 2000 yards. Heard also has a cannon attached to his shoulder where Sharp's strength is accuracy instead. If he's worried about committing to Baylor because of Randall Cunningham who has never even thrown for a 1000 yards he'll really be looking over his shoulder because UT is usually going to get the best qb that stays in-stat. Over street was never going to play qb either, they just didn't want him to go to Michigan so they told him he would get a shot. Connor Brewer was the number one qb in the country before the all American game and will never take a snap at Texas.
Connor lost his shot after he got arrested  ;)
 6. that 05 season was when WB got that transfer QB from Kelly right?

Josh Mitchell was the assistant boys coach at Hardin the 1st couple of years Haynes was there.  Assistant to a team that would have no doubt beaten Lumberton in basketball...  They split with both Kountze and EC who ended up in regional tourney.  2nd... ALL athletic directors hire people that have worked under them before.  They're familiar with what the A.D. wants.  It's not "good ' ole boy".. it's just how things are done.
;)
Lake Travis was founded in 1982. The coach that started the run is now the HC at Duncanville. The coach that followed (Chad Morris)  is now the OC at Clemson. They have high turnover because people get better jobs.
Ok, thanks. Maybe I was thinking that they were new to 4A and have now moved back up ??
Last yr was their welcoming to 5A.

 17. Newton shouldn't have a legit challenge until they meet Cameron Yoe again in the State Semis at Bowers or Woodforest this season barring unforeseen injuries IMO......... They should be pre-season #1

I thought Summer Creek was only filled with janitors, fast food workers and ditch diggers.  ::)
Per the Census Bureau figures, median household income of the SC area is $150,700.
D@mn, this is getting embarrassing. Kind of like shooting fish in a barrel. River Oaks - ever hear of that area? Median household income: $90K. You saying SC's median income is almost 75% higher than RO"s?  In any case, you probably meant "mean" income, not median. RO's mean income is $173K. [Hidden Content] SC's attendance zone is zips 77396 and 77044. Mean for those is around $77K. By comparison, Katy's mean income is over $120K. They've been known to bring a fan or two to games despite their high-powered and wealthy residents. So not sure there is such a correlation between high income and low football attendance.
Me thinks that some SC players and/or SC teachers that dont even live in Humble are posting under names on here with all these inaccuracies about attendance, wealth and school enrollment.  ;)

It’s Kamehameha Day! In Hawaii, today is a public holiday that celebrates Kamehameha the Great—the monarch who established the unified Kingdom of Hawaii in 1810. During this time period, Hawaii was the only nation that remained independent while the rest of the Polynesian islands were taken over by colonial powers. Kamehameha was nicknamed “the Napoleon of the Pacific” for this achievement. To celebrate Kamehameha Day, Hawaiians attend carnivals, floral parades, and horse races. There is also a large hula competition that attracts hula companies from all over the world.
