  1. Congrats Mosely and Wells, but also Joe Sexton, Linebacker for BH, 1st team!!! I like the Mosely pick for 1st team, because this is for the regular season. Jaquizz Rodgers outplayed Mosely in the postseason, but this is the right pick.
  2. First play was bout 55 yards, great run, after that pretty much nothin till LC's second teams came in, I mean man he got the ball enough huh? Yea i was at the game. Guess i was misunderstood in Johnson, i was expecting a him to be Dominant, which he wasn't, he just had some good plays. He just didn't live up to MY expectations, and LC was really good so that could be the reason. Both were just outdone by the other teams players. The giant DE #76 and the Superquick RB #33. Just MY opinion.
  3. This is a joke right?! HAHAHA Mosely wasnt even the best RB when I saw them play LC. Good but not great. Hell give a guy the ball enough with a pretty good line (Nederland does have one) and he will get a ton of yards. (Not knocking Mosely though)
  4. Those two are very good and were the emotional leaders on the defense, but like I said already this one is simple: Joe Sexton of BH: 170 tackles, 95 solo, 75 assists, 8 TFL, 2 Sacks, 9 QB Pressures, 2 CF, 4 RF, 3 INT, 1 Def TD, 1 PBU. Many games he was out most of the second half because of some of the cake games we had. Has to be a lock for linebacker. 2nd Year starter as a Junior. 200+ tackles would have been easily accessible. One int won the game against C.E. King as it was returned for a TD. Swart sure did help out though!
  5. If not the Defensive MVP, then Joe Sexton of BH: 170 tackles, 95 solo, 75 assists, 8 TFL, 2 Sacks, 9 QB Pressures, 2 CF, 4 RF, 3 INT, 1 Def TD, 1 PBU. Many games he was out most of the second half because of some of the cake games we had. Has to be a lock for linebacker. 2nd Year starter as a Junior. Also from BH is Daniel McSwain: 157 tackles, 79 solo, 78 assists, 9 TFL, 1 Sack, 5 QBP's, 3 CF.
  6. Good effort NED, but man what a team in LC!!! If you want to see a great RB go watch #33 for Lamar Consolidated!! #4 was one of the fastests guys i've seen in pads!! LC's front 4 were HUGE. I hate to point out negative things but the Johnson kid didnt live up to the hype i had for him. (WHY put him at DE? would have been vastly more invovled and useful at LB) Mosely's yards came late so i wouldnt take his amount as a real total (game was over with 5:00 in the 3rd) but he does run HARD. Good luck next year!
  7. Well atleast Central competes for athletes!! BH is lucky to get one!
  8. Galena Park Game: BH started terrible, then showed why they are the outright district champs. GP is that good however, IMO, so i doubt they win this week. Crosby Game: Offense tried to run too much when it should have been airing it out to Fisher, Crosbys D was very good, but nowhere near as good as BH's, not in a long shot. We are out athleted every game whe play so please stop saying that. YES we have seen these types of athletes we SCRIMMIGED WOS so i believe we have an idea about athleticism. Oh yeah NC, C.E. King and GP all have very talented athletes at QB. By the way - OUR COACHES DONT GIVE A RATS ____ ABOUT SCRIMMAGES, its PRE-SEASON, we work on things and could care less about the score, sorry WOS I saw yall in the scrimmige and wasnt THAT impressed, that was the WORST excuse of a game ive seen at BH, If a game was played today it would be close. Not saying that we would win but it would be a quality game. Central: Should be a good game, it wont be a blowout by Central, yes they are good and probobly should be favored. But BH is no slouch. Much respect to the winner. I know its hard to like BH because we do have alot of money, tradition in EVERYTHING that involves the school, and are the smallest school in 4a but are winning District in all sports so far. Weak district or not that is amazing. I posted on this site on the reason for BH bashing a long time ago, back when the site was not as popular. So if you can find it, you can see all the details. GO EAGLES!!! GO DAYTON !!!
  9. Overall: Fisher (maybe) but most likely the qb's from NC, GP, or C.E. Offense: The three Qb's Defense: BH lock, Most likely Sexton, Swart has a long shot, but the linebackers are more important in out defensive scheme if a d-lineman makes a play, then great - if he misses its ok because the linebackers will be there. Thats not vice-versa. i also heard a kid from NC has alot of tackles
  10. #33 Joe Sexton of Barbers Hill, 100+ tackles and would have more if he would play the second half of most games.
  11. A healthy Chris playing QB was much better than Pat, Pat was fairly accurate but gave his ball too much air. Chris was the BEST runner i've seen at BH, not the most athletic but his vision and ability to break tackles was amazing. Way to injury prone though.
  12. Barbers Hill's Cameron Swart is one of (if not the) strongest under 20 year olds in the nation. I think he came in second somewhere down in South America. The 2012 Olympics is what he's planning on getting to. Dont know how much he does though.
  13. The Purple Ponies by 14, led by lil' Henry's cousin with 150+ rusing yards.
  14. Joe had 50+ yards? He must have needed an oxygen mask after that!
  15. Most teams will out athlete BH, but GP has no shot at beating BH with its outstanding Defense. Sorry but your analysis is far from correct. Yes Crosby is talented and had the best matchup against BH because they are also a disciplined team, whereas the other teams in the district are not (FB, GP, CE KING). Aside from key injuries BH will win the district outright.
  16. I think BH has come out of nowhere to be this good esp. with thier surge in hitting over the past weeks, but they are Way to overrated at #3.
  17. After reading all the posts on the donwlow and this site I must say that.... 1. WOS is usually a very good team that sometimes emerges as a Great team. There football program is head and shoulders above anything else however. 2. BH is usually overrated.... the main thing is that BH's coaches are good, but the players usually make WAY to many mistakes to win a playoff game, Oh yeah i graduated in 05 and i've seen what happens. 3. If anyone was jealous or envious of WOS from BH, it was because Doc (our trainer) worked there before coming here. BH is CONSISTENTLY very good in EVERY aspect of the school: Band, UIL Academics, Theatre (the powerhouse in 3a haha) state champs in Agricultue, tennis, Golf, CC, Track, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and yes Football. 4. The High School is just flat out amazing. 5. WOS has MUCH better athletes than BH does, by far. 6. I thougt Dan Hooks was from BH? I give many props to WOS for thier achievements and support them usually, but if someone from BH jokes with someone from WOS please just take it as such, because we take yours.
  18. You want to know who has probobly the best arm on the team? Probobly good ole Joe Sexton, the District Defensive MVP at linebacker, im a good friend of him ad his older brother, and believe me they both have cannons.
