1. Ready for this game tonight! Two teams with great fan bases. Lamar will be rocking tonight and you'll hear "Cherokee" early and often! Prediction: Game will be tight in the first half. Indians take control in the second half and win by double digits(that could be 10 or 21) SCALP'EM
2. Yep. PA News Sunday, Sept 25. Stattrax, that's what I hear. They're a force to be reckoned with. I'll be listening to the game while I'm watching my Indians in Baytown. If anybody can game plan for Memorial, Neumann is that guy! Trust me, I've seen it happen for six straight years! LOL!!! Scalp'em!
3. PAM appears to have the weapons to walk through this district but really, WHO HAVE THEY PLAYED YET??? The two Beaumont schools (both are dumpster fires). When their Head Coach is quoted in the PA News that Ozen disrespected them by making them their Homecoming game, I just totally lost what little respect I had for their coach. I can hear him talking to his players "Now guys, we need to teach them a lesson for choosing us as their Homecoming game! Nobody does that two the Mighty Titans!!" What a load of crap!! I never pull for Nederland to win anything so you can figure I bleed purple, but come Friday I'll be pulling for the dogs to THUMP the titans! So Nederland, please properly welcome the titans to District 22-5A!!! I wonder who the titans Homecoming game is and did Coach H have a say so as to who it was. WOW. Just WOW!
4. Expecting very good game.  I'll take PNG 31-21.  BTW, does Silsbee have any receivers this year?  QB put it on the numbers last year and they didn't have anybody that could catch.  Lots of dropped balls.  Silsbee better score often to keep up with PNGs offense.
5. Nice pic Horns93!  What you see here is Walker selling a perfectly executed screen that went for 35 yards. Got anymore pics I can help the forum decipher??
6. My son tried out for this team last Sunday (Oct. 21).  When will the kids know if they made the team or not?  Thanks!
7. I agree.  I really like playing Vidor.  It's usually a good, clean played game between two well coached teams.
8. Matthews will score as much as he can against us.  Teams better get their licks in this year because the future at the Reservation is bright!  PNG 27 Vidor 21.... And the Purple Pride wins at halftime too!!!
9. I guess I'm a bit confused, what year did we run the score up on you?  It must have been worse than the 66-6 "nailbiter" you guys had with Lumberton!  :0
10. Ned wins this game.  Their defensive front four is the best high school front four i've seen in years.  Another poster said earlier, Vidor better be able to pass alot more than they've shown if they even expect to be close in this one.
11. thedogs1987, I'm not seeing the argument that our defense is our weak link.  Silsbee averaged 2.8 yds per carry and the receivers averaged just under 5 yds per catch.  We gave theme excellent field position on their first two scores ( starting at our 10yd line and at our 25 yd line).  The only sustainable drive they had all night was the last one when our defense's tongues were hanging out for being on the field almost the entire second half. I'm looking forward to a really good game against two top notch defenses.
12. Finally getting a chance to read through some of your thoughts on the game and as I'm reading I find some jerk that uses a screen name "pngdad12".  Don't try to impersonate someone else on this forum or any other forum.  You're just trying to start trouble, whoever you are.  I can definitely tell you and all the forum who you're not; you're not anyone remotely close to the sophomore or his family (especially his Dad).  This family came to PNG and has been welcomed with open arms.  So don't come on this website talking smack while intentionally impersonating someone else.  "Come on Man!!!"
13. I think Neds D will be very strong.  I'm just not sure about their fire power on offense.  Sure, they have a three year starter at QB but what does he have to work with?
14. With all of this talk about who didn't make 12 yr old allstars, I have to ask the question:  How do you know he didn't make it?  12 yr old teams can't be announced until June 15th.  By the way, that's this Friday.  Has Nederland been practicing as well?  Hmm!!
15.

I agree with ya...this Soph team has a lot of depth at pitching and some of the regular starters are not seeing much action with the pitching??
Ned has a #1 and #2. There are no "regular" starters.  You earn what you get in Ned.  The best player will be on the mound for Ned. Looking ahead, for this group, there is 1, 2 and maybe a third.  These players have to have the potential to develop and strengthen into a Varsity pitchers.  Just because you pitched when you were 13 doesn't put you on the mound in hs.  If you want little Johnny to play, go to Png.  However, yours might not be the one they want.  I know that they would love to have our Big Gun on the mound playing for them.  Their group at this level is pitching poor. Look at the Varsity and tell me what you see.  Some parents belly ached for their kids to pitch earlier in hs and now the are not even on the field anywhere at the Varsity level. Little league is over,it's time to put it on the field.  Go Dogs ;) I've watched alot of sophomore baseball this season and haven't seen any dominating performances by any pitchers.  Heck, we've played ned several times.  Who's this so called "Big Gun" you're referring to?  You are right about one thing, our NDN sophomore team has a shallow pitching pool.  But that's fine, 2 of our freshmen pitchers are playing at the upper levels and we're loaded with sophomore pitchers at the varsity level.
16. I'll throw out a prediction.  PNG Boys win 2-0 PNG Girls win 2-1 These schools always leave it all on the field for this game but I think PNG has the advantage in both.
17. Carranco was a beast.  Knocked my NDNs out of the playoffs with his foot.  I'm sure colleges are taking a real good look at him and he's only a junior right?
18. PNG wins 5-3.  2 Central players red carded plus the coach for Central gets red card.
19.
Im sorry i was just responding to Half Indian/Wildcat when he spoke of the grades for (his son). My child didnt try out for the team but i several of my friends kids that did and didn't make it. Maybe the kids parents that didnt make the team should try to get the job of the voice of the PNG Indians, or mow the coaches grass or what ever the others do to be a shineing star for the district.
I don't post very often on this site, but I do like to read the threads to get information on all athletic teams across the area.  I made an exception tonight because, after being interested in this topic, I found the above quote from hammer head.  I am the Voice of the PNG Indians and, yes, my son made the PNG sophomore baseball team today and I'm very proud of his accomplishment.  To insinuate that he made the team because of me announcing football games is ludicrous.  You obviously don't know me OR my son!  He made the team on HIS talent and HIS determination to be the best Indian he can be, both on and off the field! Sorry to the rest of the posters on this thread for getting off subject but I'm not going to let someone make such accusations.
