Like I said. None of our business and you lcm people drag our program into an argument that we don't even belong in. I will ask politely one more time. Could we (lcm people) please stay out of this?

I would like to make a simple request and I hope our people don't tar and feather me. This is not our business. We can only control what happens in our corner of the world. Let us focus on our kids and what we can do to help them succeed. We wish Dayton's players and coaches the best of luck the rest of the way. bb09

ShiZZ Does that mean Westbrook was terrible last year? LCM beat Westbrook 22-3 in a scrimmage. The answer is no, they were not terrible. They were a good high school baseball team that had a bad day. It happens. Learn to respect the other teams in your area and not to make your team look bad by writing how terrible everybody else is.

I did not call you an idiot. That was some current bear players that thaught you were an idiot. I just thaught you were wrong. This years team has three or four pitchers after the first week with a zero era and you said they stunk it up.

We are not looking for hype. We are looking to prepare, get better, and stay healthy so that we at least have a chance against your eleven seniors. There is only one name on our line up card from last year. We will get a good dose of stiff competition this week in Brenham. Wish us luck. BB

Dayton Baseball Calling Crosby sucky are we? That is not very sportsman like. They were preseason top twenty five in the HS magazine. Regardless of classification, LCM saw some pretty dang good starting pitching this week from those teams. Two lefties around 84 and a right hander that was clocked at 86-87 and there were some other good ones. We use tourney number one as an extension of our scrimmages. We throw nine or ten pitchers to work this years staff and build for the future. No pitcher throws more than four innings and most throw only two or three. Different strokes for different programs. use2baplaya, Aren't you one of those guys that we could use on the field? Some of those guys in the hall you talk about use2baplaya too! I think that ya'll are talking about two different kinds of kids here. You are talking about kids that our team was never counting on and booster is talking about kids that our team was counting on this year and in the future.

Brenham is ranked number one in the state in arrogance as well. That my friend is a "disservice to the game itself.†If the Bears can pull out a win tonight, they will have knocked the Cubs out of the post season race four out of six times since these two coaches took over at these schools. I can understand this coaches frustration. A Brenham win would tie things back up at three all. Good luck to the Bears.

Coach Griff said he was going to ry and get Brenham in a big park if possible. He said he was calling to see if Yellowstone was open next weekend.

Since there were not a bunch of replies to this thread, I thought I would throw out an interesting stat dealing with the cycle. In many games this year LCM hit two guys in the 9 hole. One would bat twice and the other would come in and finish the game. In one district game this year the LCM 9 hole hitter(s) hit for the cycle. Slayde Martin 3B, 2B and Kyle Hughes HR, 1B I am willing to go out on a limb and guess that it is rare for the 9 hole to hit for the cycle.

How about Landon Womack of LCM. Did what no other player in southeast Texas has done and that is dominate BC. 12Ks no BB in 5 1/3. Reached base 3 times. Not sure what his stats were in the game early in the week versus Crosby.

3 comments 1) LCM's plan was to throw 3 guys Womack, Ehlert, Dugas When Schneider went down, Dugas was the only ss left on the roster. I was told that Womack threw his 40 pitches and then threw Dugas' 40. Total was 80. Ehlert then threw his 25 as well. 2) Can you give us the enrollment for Nederland? Since they are bigger does that mean we should never be able compete with them? I don't even understand why classification was brought into this conversation. It's our best nine against your best nine each night out, no matter who you are playing. When it is over you don't start quoting enrollments. 3) Fact I am proud of: No LCM pitcher has thrown over 90 pitches this year in a game. I always like to find out counts when games are over.

Enrollment??? Is that why you struck out 17 times and had 3hits. LCM is about to play teams with 500-700 more students and you won't here them complain at all. My guess would be PNG and Nederland are more than 416 students bigger than LCM and it didn't slow them down. By the way how do you have a half of a student?

I heard Kilgore has a pitcher in the low 90's. All State last year. Beat PNG. Can't remember his name. Whitmire I think, but not sure. I would have liked their chances better in a two out of three.
