  1. Why would you include names of coaches that haven't even shown the slightest bit of interest in applying for the job?
  2. bellison At LCM the head boys baseball coach, the head boys soccer coach, the head boys basketball coach, the head girls basketball coach, and the head girls soccer coach all teach 4 classes in a 4 class period day one day, then 3 classes in 4 class period day the next day. According to your post that is crazy.
  3. The kids say Brown is the starter next game. That puts him starting against Ozen, Nederland, and Vidor I believe. He could relieve some on Tuesdays but not tonight.
  4. I for one will give Central credit. They played very hard. However pitching for LCM was not an issue. Tim Barry is one of our top guys and has been for a couple of years and he did a very good job. Only four of the hits Central got left the infield and 2 of those were by the lead off guy. If my book is right only 2 runs on the night were credited as earned runs to Barry and he struck out 8 or 9. Central got timely hits and ran bases well. You have to tip your hat to them for taking advantage of our mistakes and holding us to just a touchdown and a field goal.
  5. The bracket is on LCM's website. LCM, HF, Kelly, St. Louis, Crosby
  6. Coldblooded is writing as if he is a disgruntled Bear, but if you read all of his old posts he is a mustang fan. His intent here is to try to point out that after all of our efforts we still have not turned the corner. We can hang our hat on the fact the we will continue to try to turn the corner. You can hang your hat on the fact that in your spare time, all you have to do is sit around and relish in the fact that we have not yet turned it. Get a life.
  7. Capt K You just stick to defending your weighted ball program and I will keep to accusing Hodges Reef of being a Bay City guy that signs up the week they play a southeast texas team and tries to trick us into giving him info on our setex teams. and by the way Capt K those would be Black Cat Helicopters.
  8. Hodges Reef You began your brief setxsports career with some half truths and now you are inching toward outright falsehoods.
  9. No spikes. Just a good ole fashioned work boot. And 6 feet ten inches of elbows and a holes coming at ya at just under 120mph. PS Don't forget to keep an eye on the cheeks. You ever fished over there out of east matagorda? I got a place over there in Sargeant.
  10. Thanks Reef I like to fish East Ridge over there. Coach officially gave Syd Jr. the nod for tomorrow. He went to bed early tonight to rest up for you guys. Coach went down today and got him a new boot from the second hand store. He had wore a hole in his old one from pushing off of the rubber. His big toe has been bleedin for a week. PS Syd has a heck of a pick off move to first. Scouting report on him says he always flinches his butt cheeks twice before picking. Ya'll might want to keep an eye on his rear. See you tomorrow. I'll hollar at ya.
  11. We are throwing Syd Finch Jr. He is the son of the guy from the Sports Illustrated hoax on April Fools about twenty years ago. The guy that threw 119 mph and wore a hiking boot on his push off foot. Jr. only throws 114, but he is just a sophomore.
  12. Fly was being sarcastic about the "not being able to coach" part. He is saying that DW lost a total of eleven in his first four seasons. Fly, What was the record after his first two seasons?
  13. "What type of pitching does the bears have? records? we (BH) beat bay city 1-0 the first game of the year... they are pretty solid... and, their district is not weak as some have said..." Nice try Bay City. Get your scouting report elsewhere. We are not falling for the banana in the tailpipe trick. ;D PS I have fished Hodges Reef before and you thought it was your honey hole. Reef. Latitude:, 52°10'00", Position at: CENTRE. Longitude:, 128°05'00"
  14. All of us over here in Bear Country still think you can do it PNG. Pitching depth is still on your side. Put this one behind you. PNG 5 Huffman 0 game 2 PNG 6 Huffman 4 game 3
  15. I know wrong forum, but since it was asked I feel someone should answer. They have a link to the info on their website. [Hidden Content]
  16. I don't want to argue the merrits of weather or not a particular event should be covered. Obviously they all deserve to be covered. Especially a National Title!!!!! I said I agree the Enterprise doesn't do a good job. I don't personally recieve any newspaper. I get my news off the internet. But I just don't think you can call the Enterprise the local paper for just beaumont. I know it is in the title. But limiting themselves to just one city when they can branch out over hundreds of miles would be just terrible business practice. If they have someone covering Nederland's games it isn't because someone there is in love with Nederland. It is because they want to sell more papers there. As far as the coach's calling in scores. What is wrong with that being partly, but not soly their resposibility? Paper covers some and the coach calls some in. It would take about 3 minutes to make the phone call. I can promise you the people who run the Enterprise don't want the people in the counties surrounding Jefferson County to be reffered to as outsiders, and have them stop purchasing their papers.
  17. I agree the enterprise does not do a great job of coverage, but I will play devils advocate for a minute. This time of year, locally we have a 5a district, 4a district and a 3a district all with in the Enterprise’s coverage area. All of these schools have baseball, softball, track, golf and tennis going on in the spring. I am certain that the paper is not staffed well enough to cover all of these events. You can’t make everyone happy all of the time so my guess is they do the best that they can. Even our local paper doesn’t make it to all the games (with far smaller coverage area), but they do seem to have a line of communication with the coaches in orange county to get the stuff in the paper.
  18. Argue this all you want, but Central hits as good or better than most teams in the area. I think they are only one of two teams to score 10 on the Bears in the last two years.
  19. This story is good, it is just incomplete. The short stop for McNeese was Shon Landry from LCM. He went 2 for 4 in the game, with an RBI.
  20. Brown vs Robicheau or Smith or maybe another
  21. "Dayton stole numerous times against him, and he had two passed balls Tuesday night against the bulldogs that tied up the game." TCSB When you wrote this all you were trying to say is Dayton's catcher was good? Looks like you were saying Jake was bad. I don't like people arguing on this site. It really ruins it for me. But you need to understand that when you write bad things about poeple those that love them will be quick to defend them. I simply suggest that you think before you post negative comments and then you won't have to ask people to chill after reading their responses. We have defended Jake. Now let us let it go. We do not need to spend the next week arguing with others on this board about it. These boards are really fun until the arguing starts. bb09
