I know that you would like that but the hire isn't official until the 29th.  I cannot confirm that what I know is the truth.  Sorry but no can do.  Probably shouldn't have even said something but who couldn't resist stirring the pot? ;)

 3.
Beaumont Enterprise is reporting that he, Ricky Tullos and Jason Ferguson are the finalists for the AD/HC position at Kirbyville.
That is correct.
I believe that he signed to play ball at LSU-Eunice.

Can someone find/post the Neece article from today's Beaumont Enterprise?
Yes from what Im reading it has nothing to do with the Kville opening.  Seems to be problems between him and either Sup or Board
Interesting....
I don't think the "network" is "much stronger" at A&M than UT.  Both by far have the "better networks" than the other Texas Universities, but A&M is not much better.  Probably equal at best.
We'll agree to disagree on them being equal when it comes to "networking".

 10.
I've got a list of players in the Kirbyville Banner this week. Looks interesting! Another player from Kirbyville is Deon Ford. KHS Class of 2000, I believe. That is correct about Deon...
I played with him in HS.  Make me want to get back out there but I know better.  I got beat up enough as the QB in those days I don't need to be reminded.  ;D
 11. I would expect more of this from around the state.  Keep your eyes open.

Just wondering what put them on top.
From my understanding there were only 2 letters to chose from...
 13. Don't quote me but this is what I've read in an article somewhere. Genetics give them more twitch fibers and testosterone along with more muscle and less fat. Again don't quote me on that but it may help to look it up I am sure there has been research done on it.
and you are wrong on both of them. ;)
I've heard some of your info before and it was wrong. ;)  If signs with LU at least I he'll be close enough to go watch.
Neece would be a great head coach if he does not go with Alvarez..... Also the DC Vanya would be a great hire as well.... was the AD at West Sabine i think and im very sure he would keep the same O..... has 2 kids in the system... Kville will not lose a step with the promotion of one of these 2 coaches...
The report that I go was that Vanya was going with Alvarez to be the DC.
which means Vanya's kid is leaving too?
I would assume.  He also has another son that was a freshman QB.
 16. Prayers to the Jones family and the entire Center community!
 17.
How can you write about Alvarez and passing game attack and keep a straight face? Alvarez is all a run first, period, and eNNIS IS IN FOR A culture shock with what they are about to go to. Interesting hire, good fo Jack. Scat right and scat left.
I never said they weren't a run first team under him at Kville.  I am not blind as I broadcast the team for the last 3 years and know full well what they did.  Basic football knowledge will tell you that the run sets the pass.  Kirbyville by no means lit up the stat book passing but if you care to look as some of the numbers they posted in the passing dept. over the last 5 yrs or so you will see that he is very capable ot throwing it when he wants to.  For a "run first, period" team...2000 yds in 07, 1800 yds in 08, 1600 yds in 09, and 1800 yds in 2010 isn't too shabby for wing-t offense.  Next time you want to pick a bone bring your thinking cap. ::)

 20.

Hey everyone! This is my first post, and I hope not to intrude. I am an alumni of Ennis. I know someone mentioned the stadium earlier. It seats 10,000. I believe it's something like 7,000 on the home side, and the rest on the visitor side. They upgraded the video board and sound system and installed new turf before the 2010 season. I look forward to seeing what Coach Alvarez can bring to Ennis. The last coach we had that ran the Wing-T didn't work out too well. Hopefully coach Alvarez can take the E-Train back to the playoffs!
Coach Alvarez can (pardon the Kirbyville Piney Woods Lingo)..take the Wing T and show you more tricks than a monkey on a 20 foot grape-vine.... ;)
I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do. A lot of us are spoiled with the Spread offense that we had for so many years, and there may be a few who will have some of that "culture shock" going from the spread to the Wing-T.
If you have speed all around you will be in good shape.  He's not afraid to open up the passing game so don't be fooled at all.  He's had some very productive passing attackes over the last 5 years with both Hazelwood Bros. and Jones this past year.
 21.

Good chance Coach Alvarez is hired in Ennis tonight.
That would be a culture shock for the Lions fans!  From the spread to the wing-T!
There's no doubt.  Even with the wing-t he will win games & make noise.  Imagine what he can do with more talent...  The passing game ability (more talent) will be a deadly force.  He's a VERY good coach & will have things going quickly.
 22. Congrats to Jack!  I wish him the best of luck and thank him for bring a winning tradition to Kirbyville!
