  1. St. Thomas More in the past had some good teams. I don't konw how either La. schools are rated this year.
  2. I just wonder if anyone would have predicted the outcome of this tournament. The 2 Louisiana schools playing for the championship. The two 4A schools battling for 3rd-4th. The four 5A schools competing the the consolation bracket. And Baytown Sterling and Lee playing to see who would end up in last place. (That would be Lee who lost by 30 to Sterling.)
  3. Barbers Hill 57 Crosby 49 Brooks Ybarra 19 - All-Tournament Mason Fisher 10 Michael Davis 9 Jon Daniels 9 BH outscored Crosby 23-14 in the fourth period. Record 10-3
  4. BH dropped the second round game to Fort Bend Austin.
  5. BH was defeated by St. Thomas More of La. 66-46. More opened the 1st period with an 11 point lead and maintained the lead throughout. Brooks Ybarra had 15 points, Micah Moore had 11. Barbers Hill will play Crosby in the 3rd place game on Saturday at 6:30 Saturday.
  6. Opening game of the Spring Branch Tournament. BH will play a very good Fort Bend Austin next. BH: Kassi Sylvia 18, Samantha Hardin 16.

  8. The Barbers Hill varsity boys basketball team completed the Aransas Pass Round Robin Tournament by going undefeated. Coach Nathan Toon's squad won 2 contest Saturday to win the tournament for the second year in a row. All the results are listed below. This year the tournament host decided not to hand out individual tournament awards and choose to give out place medals to each team member. Barbers Hill will host Lufkin on Tuesday night.   9. After a close first quarter, Barbers Hill outscored Atascocita 22-11 in the second period to cruise to the victory. BH is now 7-4 on the season. All of the Eagles losses have come to state ranked TABC teams. Barbers Hill takes a couple of days off and will return to action at the Spring Branch Tournament on Thursday.   12. Sam is the starting point guard. I have only seen one game so far. In that game, she was controlling the offensive flow and the lead defender on defense. I expect to see her offensive game come to the fore front soon.

  20. The Barbers Hill volleyball teams officially claimed the District 21-AAAA title when they defeated Galena Park Tuesday night. (Volleyball captured the 2nd district 4A title for Barbers Hill. Team Tennis won the first on Friday.) The varsity and JV have one game remaining but each have at least a 2 game lead. The varsity will be shooting for an undefeated district record when they play at Smiley on Friday. The Eagles will then have about a 1 week off before starting the playoffs. BH will play the winner between District 23-4A third place team and District 24-4A second place team. <b>Scores</b> BH Varsity over Galena Park 25-11, 25-11, 25-14.
