1. If Stephenville and Aledo meet in the Qtr-Finals it will be another 7 to 10 point game.  The smart man will pick Aledo, but I promise that Stephenville is legit....all they have to do is win the turnover battle.  Stephenville lost their star running back after Week 0 and they had to do some moving around and they are now running on all cylinders.
2. Just for fun....Who wins each Region in Div I and Div II? Here is my picks Div I Region I Waco Midway Region II John Tyler Region III Humble Region IV Cedar Park Div II Region I Stephenville (Homer Pick) Region II Frisco Liberty Region III Brenham Region IV Alamo Heights
3. I really like Stephenville's side of the bracket....If we win the turnover battle each week, we should meet Aledo in the 4th Round.
4.
If I didn't love HS Football whoever is playin i wouldn't have already bought both sets of tickets for UIL championship games in Arlington's Cowboy stadium that I have not seen yet.Good luck to all the setx teams in your 2nd season.Be proud of your team whoever that may be.
Cowboy's Stadium is awesome, you will love the experience.
5. There's a long way to go, but another Aledo vs Brenham game is very probable.  Both teams are legit and they have proven it week in and week out!  I know more about Aledo because I've seen them play 3 times this year....Grey is obviously their key player, but if you stack the box with 8 (which is about the only way to slow him down) then they will kill you with the play action pass...Seems simple, but they are a well-oiled machine and they don't make many mistakes.  Defensively, they fly to the ball and gang tackled really well.....They also do a great job of mixing up stunts and blitzes to confuse the offense, which in turn gets them a lot of QB sacks and pressures.
6.

Central and WO-S in the top ten after Friday
Kirbyville hasn't moved in a MONTH... >:( >:( ;D
Hard to move up when the teams ahead haven't lost.  I still think Lovejoy should be ranked #2....The state champion will either be them or Brownwood.
7.
When all is said and done, this kid winds up where his older brother played - Texas Tech
It was his dad that played at Tech....great athlete, both of them
8. Stephenville is down to Midway 1 minute into the 2nd Qtr 14-7.....3 Stephenville turnover's in their own territory.
9.
woke up this morning to 33 degrees of coolness  :o 8)
It was 35 in Ft. Worth.....shocked me since I didn't watch the weather last night.
10. WOS and K-ville would beat Alvarado by at least 35 points...Look for Lovejoy to make a long run in the playoffs. I'm ready to see Stephenville play Waco Midway (Hewitt).
11. I still think you need to change your signature....Rooting for Abilene High and Cooper just ain't right!  :)
12. People have to see them to believe it.....
13. I've seen Brownwood play twice and they are incredible...and that's tough for me to say because they are our hated rival, but it's the truth!  They are stacked in all phases of the game and if they stay healthy they should play for the Div 1 title. *By the way....all you UT fans should be excited that Shipley is gonna play in Austin.  He is bigger, taller, and just as fast as his brother.  I've seen them both play and at the high school level I would have rather faced Jordan than his little brother....he's that legit!
14. Dallas is an after thought around here these days with The Cowboys and Rangers playing in Tarrant County (Arlington)....all the action is in Arlington and Ft. Worth.
15. It is crazy up here in the DFW area....
16. My dad coached at H-F back in the late 70's till the mid 80's and they were always good.  He still talks of the days with Flip and company.....I also remember Dennis Malveaux (Felman's older brother), John Johnson and others.....Great athletes.  I played against H-F in the 90's and they were always good...Spencer George was one of the best running backs that I ever played against. H-F can get "it" back, but it takes time.....unless you just get a ridiculous amount of talent come through.  I can tell you that when I went to Stephenville, we were always one of the smallest 4A schools in the state and look what we did....and I promise you that we didn't have more talent than Ennis, Denton Ryan, SLC, Denison, and LaMarque.  You gotta believe and buy into what the coaches are selling...I can tell you with 100% certainty that we never thought we were going to lose a game....we went into every game trying to see how bad we could beat people, within a certain realm of sportsmanship.  Call it what you want, but one of our goals was to always watch the game by the end of the 3rd Qtr.  H-F is no different than Stephenville or any other small town...it can happen and if you don't believe it, I can promise you it will never happen.  It has to start somewhere, so why not start it today! Good luck to H-F.....that is my hometown and I'm proud of it!!!
17.
well Stephenville woke up
That brutal preseason schedule prepared us for district...I really look for us to make some noise in the playoffs.
18. Tough situation and my prayers are with everyone in Newton.
19.
After Lamarque, I'd have to include some of the Todd Dodge coached Southlake Carroll teams.....best in the country 3 years running.
Stephenville and LaMarque had some battles in the 90's.  Coach Dodge and his SLC teams were great to watch.
20.

2003 Lamarque
IMO that team wasnt the best to come out of LaMarque. those 90s teams are up for the discussion though.
I agree with Scooter....Those 90's teams had some serious talent.  As far as best ever I would have to go with D-field '83 or Yates '85
