  1. I hope its not the school board, there are some real homers on that thing.
  2. You are correct BHFan, no reason to throw names out there until a list is released which will be a long time from now. I believe they will look for someone that has nothing to do with BH or been there before to be the next HC.  I just hope hope that person is not from Conroe.
  3. BH96 - That would be the worst decision of all time to bring back Hall.  If you know anything about when she was at BH previously, she did some very questionable things as a professional, a judge would even call it illegal.  If I had a daughter at BH I would not want Hall coaching her.
  4. BHFan, the coaches do not breed the kids, they only coach them.  The staff there has done one heck of a job at it too.  I played for McGallion and Price, BH had a good coach and let him go. BH does not have the talent base to go 3 deep, I dont care who's coaching them
  5. Sorry BHFan, but BH did not have lots of talent in the early 2000's.  They had a bunch of guys that worked their tails off week in and week out and did what it took to win.
  6. I cant wait to see how this turns out.  I hope when the time comes BH releases the list of applicants.  Coach Price will not have a hard time finding a new job.
  7. Nice words BHFan, but not all accurate.  BH did lose to Robinson in 1999 but it was not barely, i think the final was 24-7.  Robinson did not go to state that year, they got beat the next week by Sealy.   As for PNG, they did not hire a proven AD, they hired a proven OC.  I bet Poole will hire one of his ex coaching buddies.  For all you BH people that hoped this day would come, you finally got it.   Good luck Coach Price, you deserve the best for what you have accomplished at BH.
  8. I will tell you why.  Once turf happens, that is when the soccer crap starts.
  9. MHS32 you are correct. There is a guy over at King who knows BH very well and probably would love nothing better than to beat BH. I say it will be a very close game, cant wait to watch it.
  10. CE King had 6 turnovers against Crosby. This will be a very good game Friday night.
  11. 19-4A will finish like this. 1. Dayton 2. CE King 3. Crosby 4. Toss up between the other sisters
  12. No, my name is not James. There have been a few of them to come through The Hill though. BH Fan, this thread is like crack, and I think you are smoking it. I have seen plenty of games outside the confines of BH. If BH has 6 D1 player on their team you better believe they will be a contender, just as any team would be. That is the name of the game in high school football. There is an old saying "its not the X's and O's, it the Larry's and Joe's". Just think about that for a minute. It does not matter how the coaches act on the field, them getting fired up and grabbing face masks is bush league. I have seen coaches do that in scrimmages and go 0-10 when it matters. And as for Dick Olin being a genius, how about him winning state 7 on 7 in the summer and buying a ring when it doesnt mean jack. Then the following year if my memory serves me correct, they win 2 games. Now in saying all this, the play calling could be more aggressive. But with the player they have the result would most likely be turnovers. Then who would be the first person on here to complain about the play calling then?
  13. BHFAN, please explain to me what type of offense you would run at BH. I dont care who is coaching this group, they will be lucky to win 6 games this year. They do just not have the talent to compete in 4A, plain and simple. I played at BH within the past 10 years and these coaches get the most out of the kids they have. If you did now know, there have been 3 different Offensive Coordinators within that time period, I guess they all dont know what they are doing? Please tell me in detail what type of offensive scheme you would implement and be sure to include blocking rules for multiple defenses, route packages versus multiple coverages, and maybe most importantly and offensive philosophy on why your offense will have an advantage.
  14. C - Regan Rinando.....played Center for James Brown
  15. Actually bh34, Arnett is at 4A Hallsville. Yes, Saunders is at Commerce with B. Price.
  16. This has got to be a joke, you must be one of the kids that the 7th grade coach made friends with. There are a couple coaches that Don let get away, they both played on the 1999 team that went 3 rounds deep(Arnett and Saunders). The coach you are talking about is a complete joke of football coach. First, he knows nothing about the game, and second he was very unprofessional. He was a B team coach 2 years and an A team coach one year. Thy only reason he was succesfull is because during the individual practice time the other coaches did their job so well it made his wonderful B team look decent in the games. My projection is that he will not be at his new school for more than a year when they figure out what they got.
  17. I would not give Don Price all the credit for the past 9 years of BH success. What he did do is hire great coordinators and assistant coaches to do all the work. Those guys include in order: Kenneth Skidmore, Bryan Price, and Jackie Byrd. If you know a little about BH football, these men have done most of the work in the past 9 years from play calling to setting up the strength and conditioning program. The only thing Don does on a Friday night is call timeouts and decide to go for it or punt. Many of you do not know that he was the Head Coach of Grapeland years ago, and his record included 0 wins. I am not bashing Coach Price, just stating my opinion. BH has want plenty of games the past 9 years with not many great athletes. Also, BH96 I would like to know why you were glad to see Little Price go. I think the offense made huge strides in the 2 years he was the OC. Please tell me why in all of your infinite football wisdom why his play calling was not good.
  18. bhhsfan, I have watched to fresman play. As a matter of fact, I know everyone of them personally. I also know Don Price very well, as well as the rest of the BH staff. The freshman now have underwent two years of strength and conditioning at the middle school...They do almost exactly what the HS does, of course you would not know that either. My original comment was to Hilldad who apparently knows everything about the program. The underlevel teams run a scaled down version of what the varsity runs on Friday nights...some people just can not understand that. You say the freshman have speed, I can remember only one of them last year who ran a sub 5.0 40yd. dash and he did not even play football as an 8th grader. You can not tell me that all of a sudden 6 of them are very fast. The sophomore class is much faster, as 8th graders, atleast 6 of them ran sub 4.9 40's. You BH people kill me, you think you know everything about the program.
  19. HillDad, you are the epitome of a BH idiot. The Rb up the middle play is not the same blocking scheme wise by the offensive linemen. There are numberous plays that they can run where the Rb hits the middle of the line. For example, base blocking, trap, power. The freshman are not as talented as you might think, the Soph. class is much more talented. The freshman class overall is slow and physically weak.
  20. BHFAN, where were you the past 2 years when Bryan Price was the OC? He called, and ran very succesfully, many screens. I hope you are joking. You can not honestly say that you have been waiting for screens for 7 years. Two years ago most of the screens went to Cedric Moore, Patton, and Mason Fisher. Last year they mostly went to Mason Fisher and Patton. I will say with the utmost confidence that BH threw atleast 15 TD's for screens in the 2005 and 2006 combined.
  21. The fact of the matter is that BH will be very down this year. I will say that the most games BH can possibly win this year is 7, and that is being very generous. Yes, they do have a new Offensive Coordinator, but remember, the one they lost is very good. The past two years Coach Bryan Price was here they had the best 2 offensive seasons in school history. About the sophomore group BH has, there are some good athletes, but Friday nights are much different than Thursdays. That class overall is very immature, I know everyone of them. BHPawPaw, the senior group that graduated is more talented than that of the Sophomore group this year. I know both groups very well, and that statement you made is nowhere near the truth. If Central was to meet BH again this year, Central would win much more easily. BH had a very good group last year, but this year they would be out-athleted without a doubt. I do believe that the BH coaches are better than Central, but that will get you only so far when you do not have much to work with. BH's offense out schemed Central's D last year, and there is no denying that. What Central did on defense was not very sound, and BH took advantage of it. That was the reason BH was in the game last year...Plus the fact that they had a group of skill guys that were very good like the Pattons and Fisher.
  22. People wrote you and called you Go-rilla cause you are a complete idiot. You were nowhere near Huntsville for the meet and you have to throw your 2 cents in like you know what you are talking about. Nice sucking up to Coach Wood at Daytoh, are you still looking for a new job? You are still mad at the decision you made not long ago....leaving BH for Tarkington. You gotta be kidding me.
