The main difference is that we don't hang our hats on the conference doings when we don't have a quality team. We know we're dragging our conference down. Aggy, on the other, sucks as well, but continue the $EC, $EC, $EC chants nonetheless, like you have something to do with their success. Regards gonna regard though.

At some point, this fan base has to come to grips with the fact that our upperclassmen are more at fault for our 6 year purgatory stint due to FUPM's laziness in recruiting post 2008. That and that alone has caused the train to come off the tracks. The only big difference in Strong and, say Saban, is that Saban would've pulled enough JUCO's in his first two years to field a legitimate team. Just like he did at Bamer. Shula didn't do him any favors there either, the cupboard was more bare than he realized as well. He just went another route with filling his roster, I actually prefer Strong's approach. He just has to hit on a big time OC and hope Buechele is the answer. Cuz if not, he gone after next year. However, win or lose, he's building a roster of guys that will be winners very soon, no matter who's at the helm. I can't wait for him to finish this year's class like he did last year. Something tells me more aggy tears are coming our way!

From the way it sounds, Traylor and possibly Norvell are the only two offensive coaches that survive this year. I think the new OC will make or break Charlie in year 3. If things pick up, he's gonna get more time to rebuild. If not, Perrin and Fenves are already putting feelers out in the event Charlie bailed for Miami. I just don't see him doing that when he's trying to instill his culture in the recruits here. And whether you want to admit it or not, Mack still has a lot to do with this mess. I don't see any Terrell Cuney's or Hutchins on either Michigan of Florida rosters. Those types of guys don't deserve to be on the team. Our upperclassmen are the reason no school should ever hire FUPM again. Let him rot in the TV booth.

Do you think either team is where they're at given these two are starters at the beginning of the year? That's the point, scheme and coaching only go so far.

SOP when Mack was here. Maybe that's a heavenly sign that the Horns are on their way back and bible aggy and the cockroaches will assume their birthrite role of bottom dwellers.

The difference between Charlie and those guys is an above average qb. We still don't have one. And he won't sacrifice or risk it with Buchele to go after Evans from Trinity CC. We'll see if that comes back to bite him.

Don't forget Hitchcock's district in region 4. That's about 1 1/4 hour drive.

That senior class thing is very telling to me. This class and the junior class is embarrassing and that's on FUPM, not Charlie. These coaches are a bunch of recruiting wizards, and we'll be back soon. But the purple wizard himself couldn't make a winner out of these upper classmen.

  So that will make Michigan AND LSU as Texas' pre-conference schedule for those years?  Wow!  Hope all 3 teams make it back to the top by then, that will be awesome!! \o/
