The Cardinals played a great game! Seemed as everyone was making big plays.  :) On a different note, please send a prayer for a speedy recovery to HI #20 that left in the 3rd (on his way to another 300 yard game!) with a knee injury. Torn MCL. Hate to see injuries in any game, especially the boys that are playing their last season out there!

Evadale Rebels...this diehard HI Cardinal fan is VERY proud of you boys! So many people doubted you and you proved them all wrong. As everyone else has said, YOU were only one of 2 teams playing in that championship and I guarantee you every other team would've loved to have been there. Hold your heads high and be proud!!! This was a heart breaker...but that's baseball. The Jackets fought HARD and we thought they had it a few times. Congratulations boys on an awesome season and you all have every reason to be VERY proud of yourselves!!

High Island won 16-8. Hunter Blake (HI) hit his second grand slam of the season!
