But talk about a great game of basketball. This was an excelent game from both teams. A district rivalry game that played up to the hype. No suprise that each team won the home games. Hopefully both teams go far in the playoffs. Sabine Pass still impressive at "home" (Nederland) hadn't lost a game there 2 years (since hurricane)
SP, Your next game against WH at their house is a sandwich game. Enjoy your victory against Spurger tonight and forget it tomorrow. Back to the gym and don't think about Evadale. Remember, WH ruined your season last year when they beat your team at their house (I was there), and ultimately denied your team a share of district title. I went to your game tonight with a friend/co-worker of mine and he said that SP has played well since their loss to Evadale. Based on what I saw tonight, guys played as a team for the most part. The chemistry was definitely there. Hope to see you against Evadale. I was wrong about you guys when I picked SP to go 6 - 4 a few weeks ago. My friend asked me to post my assessment of the game so I agreed since he paid for my ticket. No. 30 and No. 25 were great both inside and outside. No. 21 and No. 23 were good from the arc. No. 3 played good defense and created some turnovers for SP, but ran out of gas towards the end of the game. It was a good coaching job by Coach Harvey, he made an adjustment in the second quarter, which slowed down Spurger's temple of the game. However, hee needs to rotate the players more to give his starters some rest. Coach Issac kept rotating his players; I thought that was excellent although Spurger suffered its first loss of the season.
Good comment, but about the rotating of players. You can tell that coach harvey does a great job in practice by getting his players in great shape so they don't have to sub so they can keep their best players on the court. spurger was subbing their players cause they either got tired or they got in foul trouble

West Hardin vs. Sabine Pass in Nederland.

First of all, no one cussed at anyone and no players were called the "b" word. Just because they lost don't mean they have to come up with random accusations. I was they by the guy accussed of this and it is completely false. The fan that heard that cussing is 100% wrong and everyone needs to get their story straight. Sabine pass's fans are loud but are not wrong in anyway. Come to a game and find out. -

Yes he does. Really good player. Extremely smart on the court and a smooth shot. He was a first teamer last year. -

I gotta disagree.I saw the Pirates beat the Sharks last year while they were witout Whittacre and I believe McGallion.I've watched the young coach at Spurger for years while he was an assisant at Big Sandy and also taking kids to Woodville and Kountze to play during the summer. He understands the game and would still have an edge with a healthy Whittacre and a advantage on the point with McGallion. If Spurger gets the 2 injured kids back and the 2 replacements kids are getting some experience Spurger wins the district and probably goes thru it undefeated.
And the best kept secret in spurger #00 Rawls, trust me this kid is most likly going to be a first teamer. He gives strong def, and right know about 10 to 15 a game
Yea, and I seen SP beat a Spurger with those two kids playing last year, just gonna throw that out there. Glad to hear blankenship is getting better. I think They'll be fun games to watch. Both really good teams. -

I know 3A schools should beat 1A schools and even without Hayes the Bobcats are still a legit team, but maybe some of yall should give that team down in sabine some respect. I've seen both of these teams play and when the Sharks play with high energy and move the ball, they can not only play with, but beat those bigger schools. They got some ball players down there. -
