  1. Barbers Hill this week: All Home games 2/22 Clear Springs 11:30 am 2/22 Round Rock Westwood 7 PM 2/23 North Shore 9 am 2/23 Clear Brook 4:30 pm 2/24 PNG 4:30 pm
  2. I've had multiple kids play in the program with a third coming through. I haven't heard any parents whine about current coaching staff. The only half way question mark was this past season, fan's scratched their heads when there wasn't a backup QB prepared when starter went down KP. Other then that the current HS parents are good to go. Alot of young talent coming up with a good coaching staff means we'll be in the "hunt". Go troll another fanbase.
  3. BH QB- Cameron Cauthen Texas A&M- Kingsville CB- Mason Dooley D2 Michigan school
  4. Sounds good

  6. Pay off for what? We're competitive and in the hunt for playoffs. Came up short last year due to one game our QB got injured and we got caught not having a backup QB ready to go. It's all good, we'll be in every game next year with a chance to win. Nobody predicted us to win state. It's happiness on the Hill.
  7. We'll give it hell and see what happens.
  8. Y'all will probably be 6th, so no worries. Lol shots fired
  9. You don't want 4th place, I promise you.
  10. Cleveland got the shaft for football district. They will be in ours for other sports though.
  11. BH isn't avoiding anything, heck we have luck against most of the teams that district. PNG has our number though. It's coming though, 4-6 years, BH will be exploding in growth.
  12. Barbers Hill appears to be strong again this year from Freshmen to Seniors. They should fill three quality teams. Region 3 is going to be a monster once again. It's going to come down to Tomball, PNG, Barbers Hill, College Station, Manvel, Brenham or Georgetown IMO.

  14. This thread don't get much hype from the area, so I will start it off. I don't have all of the tournament teams Barbers Hill is playing this year, but I have most. I think our non-district schedule is very tough. Galveston Ball, Baytown Sterling, College Park, Pearland Dawson, Langham Creek Dickinson, Pearland, LaPorte, Cy-Ranch ( have 5 kids 90+ FB, D-1 loaded) Round Rock Westwood, PNG I'm probably missing about 4 games, but dang that's a tough schedule. One thing for sure, we will find out what our young team will be like before district starts. Anyone else want to weigh in on your school's non-district schedule or team preview?
  15. I can help on baseball poll, just tell me what to do.

  16. I'm glad for Beaumont. This should help the district in general. Hopefully they do it right and build a new school.
  17. I think Calhoun is needed for the CC district since they don't have very many D2 schools in that area.
  18. I can tell you I was in the meetings during the fiasco and they need to get rid of some folks up there. Some stories that never went public. I'll leave it at that.
  19. Also, they cut the one man ISD police department. A good guy lost his job while other's got a pay raise. It was a sad situation.
  20. When people say football facility, I can tell you BH uses it for way more then football. It's used for baseball, softball (Batting cage nets come down from the ceiling) infield practice on rainy days, throwing, it's used for soccer practice, sports camps, heck I've seen it used for Easter egg hunt when it was raining, they bused the elementary kids over to find easter eggs. It's used for an assortment of things within the school district. It's nice to have a facility like that around here. We are very fortunate over here, we now have turf baseball, softball, soccer, and football fields. More and more schools are doing the same. The complex that Crosby built is super nice. Hopefully, the triangle will stop being closed minded and open up the pocket books and start building them over there.
  21. I think the majority of 6a schools success is through pure numbers. Allen has like 6k students, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to get talent out of that many kids. The lower level Carthage, WOS, etc. I think benefit from the majority of families staying around the area and not moving away. Therefor you have families of athletes that continue to produce more athlete's. You put a good coach in there and now you have the recipe for success. The middle of the road schools which is mostly 5a in our area have some success, but not rings due to some above average HS players, good coaches, and a lot of average to below average players. With all of that said, the golden triangle stays stagnant on population some downward spiral as far as population and the metro area's along with the suburbs are growing like wildfire. More money, better facilities, schools, salaries, you name it. My .02
  22. Newton 61 miles from BMT Woodville 56 miles from BMT Jasper 71 miles from BMT BH 46 miles from BMT Dayton 47 miles from BMT Baytown 64 miles from BMT Crosby 70 miles from BMT (starting $54k BTW) Ya'll going to take Newton, Woodville, and Jasper out of the BMY area?
