  1. So you didn't say Crosby would lose a few games in district, "But what do I know?"?
  2. Crosby held Manvel to 309 total yards last night. Pretty salty performance from the defense. The 282 yards of penalties were mostly split pretty evenly. They don't have an official box score up yet but the write up says Netherly had 264 total yards, Crosby had 223 total.
  3. The man said we would lose three district games BG. . . . I'm still trying figure out my response to that.
  4. Central ran who off the field? Not CV, right? I saw Tuggle rush for almost the same amount of yardage as he did on Dayton on five carries against Central's ones.
  5. Their enrollment is growing so the qbs are getting help now. Yeah CV lost Jalen Hurts but I don't even think he put up as many total yards as his brother did in their best years? Dad Hurts can just coach, he just doesn't have the depth of athletes for the 6A level.
  6. Well, we're about to make it 12 years in a row. It's a different time. Dayton will be fine but it's probably going to be a lot harder than you think to get back to the top of the district.
  7. Central ran who off the field? Not CV, right? I saw Tuggle rush for almost the same amount of yardage as he did on Dayton on five carries against Central's ones.
  8. Manvel didn't call off anything. They played their starters until the very last play. They had every intention of putting us away and really couldn't. We snapped a wet ball over the punter's head and Manvel picked it up and ran it in. Another time the punt was blocked on the mishandling of a bad snap and Manvel got at about Crosby's 15 and ended up banging it in with Preston. Those two tds were the difference in the entire game. Make no mistake, Crosby only scored 7 but Manvel got shut out in the second half. Only calling off the dogs they did was kneeling with :30 left. Manvel did handle us on both lines of scrimmage but the only real difference in the game was Crosby's poor special teams play. I don't think anybody else on the schedule stays within double digits of Crosby.
  9. Huh, we lost 35-21? Manvel scores 21 less than you predicted and Crosby scores 7 less but you weren't that far off? If we're healthy I feel extremely confident Crosby could beat Manvel if we lined it up again 11 weeks from now.
  10. There's a good chance Episcopal blows out Ozen in a few hours too. For my grades they have the best two players in the state with Marvin Wilson and Walker Little. They usually have a good qb also. Its not really that 22-5A lost last night, it's about how they lost. I would say Central probably had the best showing last night. Livingston, Vidor and Ned lost by 28, 34 and 42 respectively. I think Porter was going to come close to shutting out Lumberton too last night if the game didn't get called. If PAM wasn't in the district 22-5A is probably looking at getting swept for the second time in here years.
  11. If GCM doesn't beat CE King I think they go 0-10 this year: [Hidden Content]
  12. New Caney should be undefeated when they meet Dayton: [Hidden Content]
  13. Dang, Westbrook's starting qb only threw one incompletion: [Hidden Content]
  14. Box score: [Hidden Content]
  15. Hard to be as efficient as BH was tonight facing air: [Hidden Content]
  16. Did Dayton go back to the bubble screen under Nations, says they had 10 completions for 68 yards? CV seems like they have a solid qb? [Hidden Content]
  17. Well, you never like losing but that's one I can accept. Couple of bad turnovers for Crosby and one busted play where Preston went to the house. All in all I thought we looked better than good considering the competition. I think Crosby will have one of the best defenses in the state, kids basically gave up 21 all night to those studs. I like what I saw a lot from Crosby tonight.
  18. 35-14 Manvel at the half. Crosby can't hold up at the point of attack.
  19. Jalen Preston again. 19-14 Manvel
  20. Jalen Preston takes the screen 80. 14-13 Crosby
  21. 6 piece Crosby, Netherly doing work. 14-7 Code Red
  22. 7-6 Manvel, end of first. Crosby snapped the ball over the punters head and Manvel ran it back. Manvel's -O probably has negative yards.
  23. Netherly goes 70 to the house on the first play. 6-0 Crosby
  24. North Shore 56-19 over Spring Dekaney with almost 600 yards of offense. North Shore, Katy, Lamar, CY-Ranch and Pearland all region three 6A-D1. All have been to the title game at least once within the last five years.
  25. I think Crosby is going to have a very hard time running the ball on Manvel. On the flip side if Manvel can't line up and pound it on Crosby I think we have a very good chance to win. Manvel is going to move the ball but I think we have some guys on defense that can make a few splash plays for us. Crosby couldn't figure out RP's front seven and lost, if we figure out Manvel's I think we win.
