  1. Why not keep running? Soso and Orlo ripping aggy D up.
  2. He would definitely prefer that job to the other one that may be available (if you poor fellas can afford it). IHOGA UT is his dream job. What a shocker...
  3. I wonder how they would fare against powerhouses like South Alabama and Appalachian State.
  4. Someone tell me if there were any Big 12 - SECond to us matchups today.
  5. I really hope the post you quoted was in jest. I mean I have seen some delusion on this site but...
  6. I agree he will do everything he can to try and have them ready. But it won't matter. A one dimensional offense will not challenge the Mustangs. Especially when you have inferior athletes... But I hope I'm wrong. The Mustangs really need some teams to challenge them before district. Because that is going to be a cake walk. We'll see if their 4 opponents there can muster more than a collective 3 points this year.
  7. Don't be greedy. I need some of that.
  8. Good point. And that other team was considerably better and I don't think WOS was as good. BC is going to steadily improve and will give the Mustangs a game relatively soon. I just don't think it's this year.
  9. Those crazy Cardinals...
  10. Do you agree you guys will play BC closer than they will play WOS?
  11. Me too. And twice on Sunday. The difference is I would win
  12. Just not this week Seriously though, I think the shutout streak ends. But I would wager the BC-LCM game will be closer than this one will be. BC is much improved under Dubois. But good enough to challenge WOS, don't get ahead of yourself. You're not in that "lane" just yet
  13. I don't know why Nederland fans ever doubt that LN is going to find a way to make the Bulldogs into a good team. Sounds like finding the guy to lead them is a huge step. Also, couldn't have found a worse spot for a new QB last week. As we all knew, WOS is salty as heck. Haven't been scored on through 2 games and could probably have beaten LCM 70+ to 0 tonight if Coach T had wanted. And LCM isn't just terrible by the way. But it is easy to overreact in either direction early in a season. The Dogs will be just fine.
  14. OF isn't going to out-athlete anyone so the Wing T is a perfect offense for their personnel. Try and use your size and ground and pound. I think we found our answer that the first week was more being down than OF being much improved. And as we can see from tonight, the Wildcats played a Newton team that is going to be really, really good. OF will get better but losing your two best skill position players (QB Watkins and RB Moore) from a year ago and the best OL on both sides (Bray) creates tough holes to fill, especially early on. Watkins in particular. He went down a couple of times last year and each time, the wheels completely came off. Getting Kress back this year should help and I'm sure he's still getting his footing. Kirbyville has to be pleased with their defensive performance. Holding OF to 7 points is pretty impressive. Their offense had some miscues including a fumble near the goal line. But they will get better too. Hopefully Dennis will be okay; kid is a gamer. I like the way their QB Jackson manages the game and he made some big plays as well.
  15. How did I miss this?!? Sorry BG, but I decree this the Post of the Week
  16. Kirbyville 21 OF 7 F
  17. 1. BS 2. PAM 3. Dayton 4. Crosby 5. NC 6. BH 7. Humble 8. Lumberton 9. BC 10. Liberty 11. Henderson 12. WOS 13. OF 14. Crockett 15. EC 16. CO 17. Newton 18. Woodville 19. Evadale 20. Shelbyville 21. Garrison 22. Kountze 23. Deweyville 24. HD 25. BC
  18. The son of one of my pledge brothers. His dad was an amazing athlete as well. Was a couple of years older but started in front of Lloyd Hill at Permian. Any sport he played, he was as good or better than anyone on the field/court. And the best I ever saw at quarters
  19. Been to both a few times each. Rose Bowl > Pyle Field. Unless you like the tackle box design. Then Pyle > all fields. Rose Bowl can get really loud. In all fairness, all 3 trips to Kyle resulted in aggy losses (twice against daddy, once against Tech). At least 2 of the three Rose Bowls I attended were definitely louder, with split fan bases.
  20. Leaving for Austin Saturday morning. Hoping to see a new and improved Longhorns team. Will definitely being partaking in some world class BBQ.
  21. Joe T. Garcia's is really good. Stockyards District and Downtown Sundance Square if you want a drink. Zoo might be the best in the State.
  22. SECond to Sun Belt?
  23. I have heard this comment from more than one person of color as well...
  24. Ummm, apparently so does the right. You guys just gave the presidential nomination to a candidate whose entire campaign was based on rhetoric. But, to be fair, maybe those crazy righties were going with the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" theory.
  25. Also becoming evident is that the 3rd party candidates appear to be pulling more votes from Hillary than Trump (just as, contrary to prevalent yet incorrect beliefs, Perot cost her husband more votes than Bush). So much for the "a vote for Johnson is a vote for Hillary" fallacy...
