He must have had some good movement on his pitches. -
Oregon reloading at QB?
Peppermint Patty replied to Mr. Buddy Garrity's topic in College Sports Forum
If Romo had been a first round pick, he would have not been allowed the opportunity to have a bad season and would have never made lots of money. Draft status to me is getting drafted. The kid will get drafted no matter where he plays. -

I would just like the opportunity. What I earn is up to me. -

Well played games. Nederland grad, Kirby Bellow, had two good outings for the Horns. It was good to see him back on the mound. Texas had 11 players make their debuts during the weekend. Lots of young talent. -
The next Fred Sanford?

Nothing goes with that Aggie chocolate like a tall glass of Koolaid.

Oregon reloading at QB?

Let's talk career and not signing bonus. He can get paid up front or if he's good, he will get paid on the second contract. As much as I dislike the Cowboys, Romo is a prime example of this theory. -
John Chavis said this about Brick Haley in 2013: "There's not a better recruiter.†Now they get to battle each other.

Oregon reloading at QB?

Playing at Eastern Washington will not have any impact on his draft status. Plenty of QB's have come from non-BCS schools. If he can play and meets the eye test, they will find him. -
Not much talk about the ball. They were definitely jumping off the bat for both teams. IMO the HR numbers will be up this year at every level. Not like those 23 run games of yore, but scoring will be up too. The NCAA needed to increase the excitement. Our ADD generation does not appreciate a 1-0 defensive pitching struggle.

Dang it. Forgot this one: 76-37-5 We Know Who Runs This State. Always have. Always will.

Looks like North Shores grad and Rice Freshman R. Salinas will get the start on the back-end of a DH this Saturday. [Hidden Content] The greatest time of the year. Hook'em Horns! Go Gophers! Beat Houston! Stingers Up!

Well you did and still had very little to show for it in the way of conference titles and NC's. As for Tech, did you guys ever get rid of that goal post taste?
-
Nah. Never wondered at all.
-
Of course it does. It smells like aggie.

Who is this Obama guy y'all are talking about?

Probably why most D1 schools passed on him. Not enough stars. Shows what most of them really know. -
I have never really liked the Aggies. We're not talking "hate", just from a rival standpoint. They were the Aggies. (Now Sooners, that's hate.) I've been to Kyle Field and watched some games. Hell, half of my in-laws are aggies. My nephew is a Yell Leader at the Galveston campus. So I would not consider myself a hater. Back in the day, aggies were harmless. They won a few games here and there, but never really threatened anyone for that matter. They might win the SWC or the Big XII, but as a fan you knew they were still the aggies. Now, after moving to the SEC, aggie fans (my relatives included) are intolerable. The constant banter about the SEC, yada, yada, yada. It's insufferable. Keep in mind the aggies have not accomplished anything as a team. They have not won their conference, not competed for a NC. Nothing. Yet now they hang their hats on the accomplishments of the SEC. Good Goat, it's awful. I can talk football with any logical person. I have a bias for UT, but I am not blind. I saw what was happening in Austin. So did everyone else. Change was made. Now if the aggies would just reel in the SEC crap, maybe we could all just get along.

I would venture to say some coaches tolerate law breaking more than others.

Ditto. (Replace- Aggie with Horn and sips with ags) It's just the nature of the beast, fella.

Star player will not sign LOI
Peppermint Patty replied to Mr. Buddy Garrity's topic in College Sports Forum
I have a feeling someone is about to challenge the legality of the LOI. AS much as these high profile players are complaining about wanting to be paid, etc...I get the feeling someone will challenge the NCAA on allowing them to negate the LOI when a coach leaves a program. Just a hunch.
