They are going to be pretty salty this year, we couldn't get much going against them in our scrimmage. Sadly that is the only work WOS has had this season, I'm sure they are chomping at the bit to play again.

Stats for the game look like Vidor dominated but that was not the case at all. We did hurt ourselves too much last night though. Have to clean that up and quit giving teams a short field against our defense. Tell me about it, I didn’t realize we held BP to only 168 yards of total offense. While Root had 164 all by himself with the Pirates rushing for 323 yards on the night. [Hidden Content]

What did Newton go on to do that year? Probably still went far in the playoffs.

Must be nice to have a goal of state title every year you two lol. We just want to win the dc and make a little noise in the playoffs. Lucky to be 1-0 right now but if we beat Jasper I think that 0 might be there until the end of the season.

Ouch... when is the last time Newton got smoked like that? And Jasper... we have to play them at their place in two weeks.

For some reason I couldn’t find this thread before the game started or I would have posted everything here. Oh well it was a hell of a game, a lot of fun to be in attendance. I hope they are all like this, not really I’d take some easy wins in district.

The defense was good enough against a skilled QB #9 and WR #15 hurt us a few times but we stopped the runs from the RB position fairly well, especially in short yardage situations. Need to work on the kicking game and get that down before district play.

Lol we just call him Q and he played a hell of a game, Vidor did not try to pass it at all like I thought they would. They just said hey the run game is working let’s just keep it moving. The penalties and fumbles nearly sunk us though.

Great game by both teams. Vidor is 1-0 and Brazosport is going to be really good.

3rd and goal from the 5 TD 23 is in Vidor wins and the smack talking D lineman for BP can eat those words lol I love it!
