I’m planning to catch a Splendora game again this year. How did the Crosby scrimmage go? I have not seen a post on it.

Not in my opinion. We are probably both a little biased. I thought Dayton did not look ready. My opinion Dayton looked better in last years scrimmage. But it was just practice. NC QB only ran the ball one time.

NC scored twice in the quarter. Dayton did not score

During controlled portion NC scored 4 times. Dayton did not score. I believe we are about to play a quarter with a clock.

New Caney had 59 freshmen, 53 JV, and 45 varsity working out at scrimmage today.

If i'm not mistaken today is the first day you can scrimmage. Crosby will be fine, I don't expect them to win the district this year but they can certainly surprise any team on the schedule.

He looks good on film as well. Eagle's Derrick Harris Jr. 2021 OLB has committed to UT. Childress appears headed to UTSA and 2021 Sanders has a TT offer. If we're both healthy it should be a really good game.

The football Stadium is now named Randall Reed Stadium. I guess they won the rights to the name for the next few years.

Zion Childress QB New Caney returns for senior year. Was District offensive MVP last year.

I find this to be about what I thought. The top three athletes in my opinion are Childress, Harris and Sanders. The latter two are juniors. Harris could really turn out to be something special. He already has offers from some big FBS schools. He has added about 25 pounds to his frame since last year. All three are excellent kids on and off the field. I think the skill positions will be fine. I am anxious to see how both lines do.

Huffman preview scheduled for July 9.

I would like to see New Caney play Kingwood, Huntsville, and Barbers Hill.

I believe a team from this district will represent the region again next year at state. Splendora only loses one outfield starter and one player that comes off the bench.

New Caney returns 8 on offense and 7 on defense. QB returns for his senior year. NC will compete with PAM but have to play there this year.
