I call it like I see it. Last week I was not impressed but this week I was very impressed. The offense was really good with both qbs. Both H-backs are really good. Gonna have to find another wideout. Defense is still a little suspect. Texas City was not close to being a top 10 team. Silsbee should be a better test.

I'm not hating at all! I promise I work around several people who thought the same thing. Being improved from last year is not saying much. They are a year away from being good. I can see 3-7 or 4-6 this year. I am a PNG fan, I just drink other beverages besides the purple kool-aid.

Why are they scrimmaging Legacy if there so good?

Looks like some people didn't know Green as well as they thought! If my son was a pitcher at PNG, he would be my #1 guy. He is a hell of a pitching coach!

You can count on one of their own who just graduated from Lamar to be in the running. Kyle Green could be another one.

When will the games begin? Is the schedule posted anywhere?

In TAPPS the player's can play in the summer for their coach until the first week of school. If a kid that is going to Legacy next year he must be enrolled at the school before he can play for Fackler this summer.

How many of these kids made All-District and will they get to keep those honor's?

From what I have been told is the player or player's in question signed the athletic release stating that he played for Fack during the summer. The parent and old school signed off on it. It was then sent to the district and signed off on it then sent to TAPPS where it was then approved by TAPPS. An appeal is supposedly in the process. I don't believe anyone knowing violated any rules. Maybe someone from Legacy can chime in.

Im sure PNG only wanted to play 1 game because their is just coming back from an arm strain and will be limited to relief duties. If the wind is blowing in Ashworth could be tough if its blowing out it could be a long night.

Don't get too excited Dayton fans, Nederland has plenty of good arms to throw at you. The next 2 pitchers will be playing at the next level. Expect Nederland to play much better tonight.

Are ou saying the only way your daughter will play is with you calling the pitches? Most teams have their coaches in place and it is normally best for one guy to handle all of the pitch calling. I'm not understanding your philosophy.

Right now it appears Ledoux and Leckich is PNG's top 2 pitcher's. Ashworth is 0-3 and I'm sure he will be on a short leash if he gets a start.

Who pitched for PNG?

Neither one of those guys are ready to play SS on this level. They need to have Mullens at 2nd and Saatzer at SS.

Shuggart and Guidry looked very good for BC as did LeDoux and the Freshman Leckich. BC lit Ashworth up pretty good. I was kind of shocked to see Saatzer playing 2nd instead of SS. They may have to move him back to SS. Good game to get the season started.

Yes, he does have to be released regardless if it is a different district. If Nederland does not sign his release he will be out again.

Last years JV and when they were Freshman has never beaten Nederland. Now whatever happened 2 ago is past tense and some the big hitters in that PNG lineup has now graduated. If I remember right it was Hanks and Sperl who were the big hitters in that lineup. Sorry but they have now graduated. Name the guys that are going to be swinging the big sticks for PNG. The best player's will be Saatzer, Foster, and Clark. I just dont see them finishing any better than 3rd or 4th. They lost a lot of talent.
