  3. Since having a quality response to the 2 previous LEGACY Youth Baseball Camps, we decided we will continue each Saturday 10am - 1pm with our camp formats for youth kids in S.E. Texas. Camp fees go into the LEGACY BOOSTER CLUB for facility upgrades and training equipment for the team. Below are the dates and ages for that particular camp day. 8. Legacy Christian Academy Warriors Baseball will be conducting youth baseball camps for ages 11-14yr olds. We have been hard at work renovating the field and playing surface for the 2012 ballclub and want to begin giving back to the community, with youth, developmental, instructional camps for those playing youth league and select league tournament baseball. We will address numerous aspects of the game with drills and demonstrate proper mechanics needed at each position on the field as well as hitting, pitching, catcher, outfield play, and think you will enjoy our defensive fielding drills and workouts. So we ask, jump on board by picking a date or come for either week or both camp. Cost: $30per player (Camp Funds are placed directly into our Baseball Booster Club) Dates: Saturday April 14 Equipment: Bring your own bat, glove, cap, and baseball workout uniform / Cold Water Provided Time: 10am - 1pm Cash or Checks To "LCA Athletics" Location: 8200 Hwy 105 Beaumont / Field is located behind the main campus at Legacy Also We will be selling the 2012 new "Legacy" Ballcap for $20per cap. 9. Legacy Christian Academy is NOW conducting its 2012-2013 school registration process. Please contact www.legacychristianacademy.org for more info or contact Mrs Rhonda Cregor at admissions and she will take you and your family on a tour of campus... Make sure you come take a look at the work being done with the baseball program. For there are many Improvements in progress are more enhancements coming at the conclusion of the 2012 season, when the summer off-season begins.... Weight room, coaches office with a 16player meeting room, regulation high school field, constructing field lights, scoreboard, turfed home plate and baselines, with a possible addition of a complex style facility connected to a softball field. Many projects needing funding and which we are aggressively approaching every day this spring and summer. Legacy is open to all new students from PreK- 12th grade. Legacy Christian Academy 'Warriors' offers a college "prep" education located at 8200 Hwy 105 in Beaumont. We offer football, basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, golf, track, soccer, and volleyball. We also offer middle school sports with golf, volleyball, football, tennis, soccer, basketball, and softball. We are currently getting projects approved for the baseball facility, recently approved lights for the field(Lamar University old Cardinal Football Stadium Lights) to conduct night games. In the off season we want to support all public and private school athletes with a venue to conduct numerous events. Projects to be executed in the off season, a fall baseball league, one day showcases for college coaches and professional scouts attending, tournaments to aid the entire Beaumont area with select tournaments, the GTB Fall Prospect League, baseball youth camps, softball camps, basketball programs in the summer and more... All of these baseball programs above will be conducted with offering the involvment of all area high school coaches to benefit their student-athletes regardless of middle school or high school affiliation. Beginning in March and April we will be offering baseball camps for 6th-8th graders every other Saturday 10am-1:30pm. This school year, the football team was 8-2, Basketball once again made the 2nd round of the playoffs, and we are expecting solid outings by our softball and baseball programs as well. The school now has one campus from PreK - 12th grade. Legacy is a Christian Based private TAPPS 3A school whereby students-families pay for the education yearly, so go to www.legacychristianacademy.org to view school fees. We also have academic sponsorship to lessen the amount of the fees due each school year, scholarships if you will, that go to a committee to vote on approval that donors and supporters of Legacy aid with student finances to those who need to assistance. Do not assume you would not fit the requirments, for many have been approved for financial assistance. A very interesting aspect beginning this year, the coaches and athletics directors approved an "end of season tournament" for baseball and softball as seen in college baseball. Each team is seeded based on their district record and play in a "conference style tournament" to decide the seedings for the playoffs. 4 teams advance to the high school playoffs each season. Therefore teams are seeded at the end of the season, conduct the tournament, and the 4 top seeds advance to the playoffs. If you have any questions, please take the time to contact Mrs Rhonda Cregor @ 409-924-0050. She will be glad to take the parents and the student-athlete on a tour of the campus. Registrations for the 2012-2013 school year began today, Feb 29th.
