The Tigers played with a lot of heart tonight. Nederland was much bigger and jumped out early when Silsbee was playing zone. The Tigers went to a man defense and clawed their way back. Good job by the coaching staff and the players to execute.

The Silsbee defense will need to step up and make some plays. If not, the Tigers won’t get enough possessions to score a lot of points.

Someone needs to teach the Tigers team defense.

The Longview QB will use this game video for recruiting. He will end up with 500 yards tonight.

If Silsbee can play some defense this week, they have a good chance. Too many missed tackles and big plays given up by the defense has kept the Tigers in the loss column.

Im just glad to see that Silsbee is playing good local 4A schools. PNG, LCM, Lumberton and Livingston should have the Tigers ready for district play. Imho the coaches did a good job with the schedule this year!
