D. Harper will not be cleared to play until Jan. 4

Just got home from the game, Kountze looked really focus and did what it took to win against a good Coldsprings team. The team looked like they are coming together, I did hear that Puckett quit. I hate see that cause he is a pretty good inside player. Jon Jon played but he is not at full speed but did contribute and Powell played...Once the get D. Harper up there on Varsity I think he will help with the ball handling. A very physical game tonight. Congrat's to Kountze and good luck to Coldsprings..

Went and watched some on the JV games last night in Kountze...Anahuac got a move in that will be on Varsity, He looked pretty Good, I think he had 44 points against Lumberton. Kountze beat memorial by 2..so they play Anahuac Saturday at 1:30 I think. The Kountze freshman got beat bad by memorial..after HJ and Memorial went into 4 overtime games with memorial finally getting the win.

He looked good, He didn't shoot real well but handled the ball good and played good defense...JJ looked good, He plays good on JV but seems to get lost on Varsity...THey play again at 4:30 The Freshman also won at 12, they played Kirbyville..won by 10...They brought two players down from JV that helped out. They play at 430 also.

Powell is suppose to be back tomorrow and Jon Jon the week after Christmas. Still not sure about Harper...Jon Jon is there best defender in my opinion but they are lacking a point guard and maybe Harper could feel that hole.

I just went and watched the JV and they beat HJ by one...Harper was playing with the JV...So I guess he still isn't cleared

What about Darrien Harper did he ever get cleared from UIL to play?

I watched this game also, I thought HF would blow them out but Vidor hung in there. If they had some height to off-set HF height it could have been a different outcome. The kid from Vidor with the mohawk played as big as he could but it still wasn't enough to stop HF inside game. Good Luck to both teams in District...

Kountze JV beat Lumberton JV...semi-finals Kountze JV played Hull Varsity for the Championship... and Hull won...

Lumberton 64 Kountze 57...Final Not sure why schools do it but they bring kids down off Varsity to play in these JV tournaments. Kountze brought 1 down and Lumberton brought 5 down...I guess it don't really matter as long as the kids get to play, but it does cut into the playing time of the real JV kids.

Well its not a rumor, he is on the team...I guess we will see if he gets to play in the Evadale tournament. He is about 5-10 or so and a real good ball handler.

I heard that Kountze got a point guard from Ozen or somewhere, Harpers (freshmans) brother...Will he be able to play Varsity...
