The point guard Darrion has made the team better and He didn't play either time they played CH, not to say they would have beat CH with him. The team has grown over the season like I'm sure most teams would hope to do. They may go out and have a horrible game tonight lets hope not but that doesn't mean they have not improved over the season and it definetly doesn't take anything away from CH... Try to read stuff in a positive way instead of thinking somebody is always saying something negative...

Also Jon Jon Warren was out with an ankle injury from Football...

Good Luck to Silsbee...I watched Kountze play Coldsprings and it was a real good game...I don't think Coldsprings was in full swing cause they just got out of Football but I feel like Silsbee should take this one...

They didn't have Darion Harper (point guard) cause he was not eligible yet from his move. I can't remember but I don't think Jamasdin (sp) played in that game either cause of grades. Justin Harper (freshman) has really grown over the year also, had 22 points in the last game. It should be a good game...Good luck to the Lions

Does anybody know where this games is going to be played? I agree, this has be a test for Duane, one of the better coaches both on the court and off. Had two seniors quit during the season, Now he is playing with only three seniors, the future looks bright...Good luck to the Lions..

I can see why Central did this, why play this game...I think I would rather play somebody else rather than getting a bye...bye does nothing for you...Good luck to both teams...Do they know where Central game will be played..

OK, I heard that HJ wants to play a playoff game instead of a flip...but Silsbee doesn't and if Silsbee doesn't it would be considered a forfeit, then Hj would be considered to be the lower seed. I'm not sure how that makes since??

Kingwood Park is the only team beside Silsbee that has given HJ a game...I wouldn't count them out. HJ only beat them by 9 and HJ beat Nederland by 25. Oh well, Good luck to Nederland and all the local teams... ;D

Do you think Kountze has improved enough to make it a couple rounds deep into the playoffs...There is nobody in the District that can play with them, not even close. I'm just worried that this will effect them in close games.

A kid from Kountze did that in the third qtr the other night. A time-out was called and the kid went to the bench. I felt sorry for him cause he had just checked into the game.  :-\

No more EC and Kountze games  :(...I don't like the EC district...

It also is "futile" to say that one team is better than the other...which so many have...it has been proven that on any given night either team can WIN... Again, Good luck to both in the playoffs...

I was impressed with Silsbee's man to man defense...you don't see many teams playing a man to man defense the whole game. It seemed to me that HJ don't have a true point guard and that hurts them against Silsbee. The free throws were there difference in the game in my opinion, if HJ would have shot the same percentage that they did in Silsbee they would have lost. HJ and Silsbee also never get rattled by the scoreboard or what's going on around them, so you make a basket, you better not celebrate cause the other team will be down the court scoring another one. Good luck to both teams in the play-offs...

Ktz came out on fire. EC got the tip and scored a layup then Ktz scored the next 19 points. Jamasdin shot an unbelievable percentage from three point land. The game was over after the first qtr. Ktz big kids still have to play stronger to go deep in playoffs.  8)
