Coach Hand took a high school principal's job in Wynona. He has family in the area and is not coaching "YET". He left Warren in good terms and very capable hands with Cris Carter.

Nothing to brag about in this game.

It was Carters 494th victory. My bad. He needs six more. Probably will come in the Evadale or Sabine Pass tourney.

If my calulations are correct. Carter started the season with 497 wins. Warren has won the last two games, so he should hit his 500th win in Chester Monday night if they take care of the ball.

1A or 5A it's what a coach can do with the talent he has to work with that makes him a good coach. Taking nothing away from any coach, but if you are loaded with talent you will look good. There have been many 1A or 2A coaches that have worked miracles with no talent. We have watched two coaches here at Warren (Hand and Carter) build a team from nothing. Those two belong on anyone's list. And the best is yet to come.

I don't think it would make for better games. Most of the time the stall is used to keep a team from running up a score. It is a good test of coaching ability and team discipline. I understand from a fan's point of view it's boring, but if you know what's going on "it ant".

We played them in summer league all summer long. They scored their points in the paint. Very physical with no refs. If their two post stay out of foul trouble they will do very well. If not they will be in trouble. I love their coach and he will be their biggest asset.

I understand that he has taken a year of leave for health reasons. I wish him the best and hopes he returns to the court soon, He a good man.

You don't have to be the best player to be the MVP. You have to be the player that makes the "difference". That being said, I have to give it to Thomas from EC. Without him the Bucs become average pretty fast.

This year they beat Buna and EC. then lost to West Hardin. For what should be a JV team they are pretty good. The next two years should be really interesting.
