  1. I think you have mistaken anger for "getting their attention". Coaching at a school with a winning tradition is diffierent than building a program with Kids that do not know how to give 100% and how to win. The coaches you mentioned are from schools with winning traditions, it's different. I want our kids to get angry, it shows that they care and we have not had that in the past. Yes they need to learn how to channel that anger but to be a winner you must first care. We will probably need to agree to disagree on this one. Good luck and God bless.
  2. #1oiler. My kid needed a chair thrown at him. After Hand, Chris Carter is a sweetheart. What you don't realize is we needed that kind of intensity at Warren. We have had too many nice guys around here and the program showed it. Hand and now Carter expect, no, they absolutly demand excellence. Our kids have learned what it takes to win. They are also learning that life isn't fair and what it takes to succeed. We are very happy with Chris Carter. If it cost a chair everyonce in a while to get their attention then so be it. Off the court he is a very soft spoken gentleman with high morals and any parent would do well to have him as their kids teacher.
  3. I wouldn't go to 5. Rankings mean nothing, just something for moms and old fat guys to butt heads about.
  4. Warren won 2 out of the last three. But they have all been at Evadale. EC is very difficult to beat at home. It should be a good game if Warren's shooters show up. I don't think it will be a high scoring game and am looking forward to the contest.
  5. That's true. Most of the teams find it hard to compete outside their classification. There are a few (EC,WH,Ktz) that can, But 1A to 3A very tough.
  6. I saw one of the warren boys grandpa leave, the he came out and scored around 10 in the fourth. Man, that would have killed me. But, I must say it really did look bad at the time. Would have been a good time just to go and eat a couple of hotdogs you know.
  7. That's what I was thinking. He would need some polishing to be a pg. That's not saying he couldn't do it especially concentrating only on basketball.
  8. I think I've seen them all and from the stands I like the Evadale Gym. There have been some nice Gyms built lately but the Evadale Gym is primo. From the court the new gyms seem to have too much court space and the stands sit back too far. Evadale just seems to have the right mix. But it really good to see all the new gyms being built. Wish we had one here in Warren.
  9. Tramain is an outstanding player no question in that and a great kid. I'm just wondering at 6'1'' what position do you think he would play at the D1 level?
  10. Posted that at the beginning of the season and got blasted. I like the spurger boys and especially the coach, but they need some shooters.
  11. Yea Poppa, you were righton for 3/4s. The warren boys really showed us something special tonight. You could have taken home my wallet at halftime. ;D
  12. Warren was behind 19 at the half. They scored 32 in the fourth quarter for the comback win. Sims 14, Granger 13, Swinney 10, Nash 8, Andrews 5, McBee 5 and Rawls 4 Hardin has an excellent team. They shot well and 33 is a man in the paint.
  13. I know I said by 12 but the final was Warren 55 Buna 40
  14. Hate to admit it but I agree with the aggie. Anyway you have to admire WH record. Maybe a good time, they have a tough game Tuesday. I would just as soon not be ranked, makes me nervous.
  15. Warren by 12, they have played only 5 games at home and are getting lotsa experience on the road.
  16. This will be a great game. I have seen WH play four times and they have all been close with Ledsinger pulling it out at he end. This should also be a close game but with Ledsinger injured I'll say BS by 2 at Big Sandy.
