:'(
But next week if you play Crockett its gonna be a challenge for you Tatum boys!!
You could be right, but that's what everybody said last year and we all know how that turned out. 49-7 with Crockett scoring in the 4th on a fake punt and I think it was on our mop up crew. No doubt Crockett will be tough to beat, considering they get past Harmony today.

I got a pretty good laugh last night watching the game and remembering what the EC coach told me after the Tatum/Jefferson game. He said " How does maroon(Jefferson) let Tatum convert a 4th and 20 into a first down? Pathetic." And then Tatum converts not 1 but 2 3rd and 20s on East Chambers. I believe one was to Overstreets favorite target Nate Pickett and the other was a simple swing pass to Shaq Johnson and Johnson did all the work behind his blockers and went for the TD I think. When you have the athletes Tatum has, you can convert the 3rd and longs and 4 and longs.

Now to those of y'all that want to talk sensibly, East Chambers was a pretty good team and had a great season. Congrats EC. Played with a lot of heart and even more class.
Tatum has more than one weapon on their team besides Overstreet. Noel, Pickett and Johnson also stood out. I was very impressed with Noel running the ball. Excellent runner!
WOW, you are right. I had forgot about Noel. he looked really good tonight, haven't run him a whole lot. -

East Chambers vs Tatum Predictions

OK, so we all agree, if Tatum gets beat, they got beat by a full team and if EC gets beat, they got beat by one person. 11 against 1, y'all got the advantage, but if you lose..... how embarrassing..... lol -
the UIL's only rule is that air horns can't be used in completely enclosed stadiums. Certain schools however don't allow them, so all you have to do is ask the school. We used our air horn in Texas Stadium in '05 and I have my own personal air horns that you can get at your local auto parts store that I blow everywhere I go. Nobody has said anything yet. You can get your own air horns for as little as $16. You hook it up to a small 12v battery such as a 4-wheeler battery.

Jalen Overstreet to Texas, 2nd 2012 QB In the Fold by GhostofBigRoy on Oct 31, 2011 12:53 PM CDT in Texas Longhorns Recruiting 40 comments Email Print. After receiving a Texas offer on Saturday during a sit-down in Mack Brown's office, 2012 Tatum athlete Jalen Overstreet committed on Sunday evening, solidifying future depth at the quarterback position by joining long-time commit Connor Brewer as a member of the 2012 class. Overstreet is the 19th commitment in the class and choose Texas over offers from Texas Tech, Baylor, and Kansas as a quarterback, Michigan as a wide receiver, and Arkansas and Missouri as an athlete, an offer list that helps solidify his bona fides as both an athlete and a quarterback. Brewer has stated in the past that he is comfortable with the Longhorns offering another quarterback in 2012 after defections from Connor Wood and Garrett Gilbert during the fall and Texas settled on Overstreet after scouring the state and inquiring about every committed and uncommitted quarterback in the class. At 6-2 and 205 pounds, Oversteet is a well-built athlete who could project at WR, H-back, safety, or outside linebacker if he doesn't work out at quarterback and shows a strong ability to break tackles at the high school level, showing off his lower-body strength and balance in doing so.
And I'll trust his mother before I trust any of them. I asked his mother flat out because me and some guys, Eagle8 being one of them, how much he weighed. I thought he was closer to 220, but she said 213. That was against Diboll I believe. That was week 0, so he could have gotten bigger. Size don't win you games though, ask Hutto. -
