  1. I was at this game and it was ugly. Pius was physically head and shoulders above St.Thomas. St. Thomas was coming off a 2 game winning streak that brought them back to .500, but the size and talent mis-match last night was pretty staggering. St. Pius goes to louisiana next to play a pretty salty sulphur high team. I'd be very interested to see how that game shakes out. St. Thomas has to go to beaumont and play kelly. We'll see if any improvement can be made.
  2. splendora wins big because shepherd is using like their 5th string qb. Seriously, the kid that will play qb friday night is no more a qb than the man in the moon, plus it's their homecoming and everyone knows the dangers there. The kids are more distracted about after the game than the game. Splendora comes up big here.
  3. Shepherd's in trouble & in for a very long season. Monday night school board attempted to oust the head fb coach but failed. It was a 4-3 vote. Not a good time to be in Shepherd.
  4. not that i'm aware of. i know the high school teams in L.C. very well...are you interested in a particular one ? I could give you the run down on them if you want.
  5. Manvel High School in Alvin ISD will begin playing a varsity schedule next year also. They will be in District 24 - AAAA.
  6. I hate to say I told you so, but.....I told you so! 22-AAA was way down this year and it showed. Things run in cycles and a couple of years from now it may be someone elses time to shine.
  7. Everything goes in cycles. This is just a down year for them. Congrats to the teams that made the play-offs, but it will be a short post season for them.
  8. Yeah, Coach Anderson in Shepherd has had them aired up for about the last 4 weeks now.
  9. 22-AAA is down this year, plain & simple. It happens. Anything can happen, that's why you play the games. The 21-AAA teams SHOULD win, but anything could happen.
  10. Hear that? it's the ofer dog barking at Tarkington's door!!!
  11. Team Bobcat finishes the season with a victory.
  12. it's nice to see that even though Shepherd is struggling this year, at least they have some fans that stick with them. They obviously are not knowledgeable football fans, but fans nevertheless and I'm sure Shepherd's happy to have them.
  13. If you look at location alone, then I think the only schools that could even be a POSSIBILITY would be Liberty and H-J. Huffman is going to come back to 3-A so they will have to have a spot somewhere also. Of course you never know how the UIL and thier infinite wisdom will work, but geographically, I think Liberty, Huffman & H-J COULD wind up in that district. I'm sure stranger things have happened.
  14. How can a team with a 1-7 record dominate anything? Again, with a 1-7 record apparently Chaz & Seth are not that hard to bottle up.
  15. WOS. But don't expect a blowout, the kids from orangefield will play their hearts out, but they just don't have the athletes WOS has.
  16. You can go ahead and count Shepherd out, the kids are already talking about when basketball season will start.
  17. I was under the impression that you had to be below 900 in order to go down to 3-A. I know the high school enrollment is way down, but still, I thought 900 was the magic number. Supposedly, the enrollments at the elementry schools are extremely large, if that holds true til they reach high school then huffman will be up again.
  18. You're right, anything can happen. That's why you play the games, but I would be very, very suprised.
  19. Coach Hanks runs the defense. Coach Ferguson is the OC
  20. Cleveland beats the pirates Tarkington loses again Good match between liberty and splendora, I'll go out on a limb and take liberty.
