HI seems to be down this year.They have 1 pretty solid player from HJ.I hear rumor he is moving back.They miss their bigger guy from last year.Overall I don't see them matching up very well with Sabine Pass or West Hardin or Hull Daisetta if they are in the same district.Warren is playing pretty well right now but needs to play some tougher schools to get ready for a brutal district.If everyone is healthy I think Warren wins this one pretty handily.

Matt had 10 pts and 5 rebounds in the last game.He was in double figures in every game.Jimmy Rawls had 17 rebounds in the last game,his best game this year.

I'LL have the team with me,the coach will be coming back from a funeral in Louisiana and wont be at the gym until 6.The bracket on the wall said 6:30 so hopefully they won't start without us.

I hope they don't have another mix up,they started 1 hour early today and I missed the first two quarters.

Coop according to the bracket the championship game is at 6:30.

Don't ever know what your gonna get with them.Last year they had 2 kids who were 6'8" and 1 that was 6"5".This year they were small and as warfan said looked to be real young.Warren is actually 10-1 now.

Great guy and really a super coach.Almost heard his voice crack last night,hope this group doesn't give him a heart attack.That record is impressive I don't care who you are.

I was impressed last night with Tarkington.They were well coached and shot the ball well.They were down by 15 to start the last quarter but played right up until the buzzer.West Hardin will be fine,they have been looking for this year for awhile.

Donahoe-HJ

HJ WOS SILSBEE Jasper is very athletic but they are a couple of years away.HJ has all the ingredients size,speed and shooters.They could definitely be in the regional tourney when all is said and done.

Kountze and EC are definitely the favorites.Warren is still young but they have a lot of potential.They will definitely be in the playoff hunt along with Deweyville and playing in this district can only make you better.Their schedule has been weak so far but every team they have played was a return game from last year and every win has been against a team that beat them last year so they must be improving.Haven't got my schedule in front of me but I know they are 9-1 with 2 wins over Bridge City,Spurger,Chester,High Island,Anahuac,Deweyville ,Tarkington and I think Jasper.Their loss was to HJ and all these games but Tarkington have been on the road.I know the players from Warren have the utmost respect fo Ktz,EC and Deweyville and would probably prefer to be left out of this arguement!!!!!

Actually this is the second varsity game this year that I have heard of this happening,I have seen several JV games with only 1 official and even more freshman games called by the coaches.I know there is a severe shortage but also seem to be some problems with the scheduling.Anyone interested in becoming an official really ought to check out the Beaumont Chapter,they could use some more bodies.

Kountze has to be the favorite in that district followed by EC.Warren will compete for a playoff spot and they are getting better every day.You can bet Carter will everything out of them that they got.They are 8-1 but that 1 was a real eye opener.There are some shooters here that can light it up on any given night and anything can happen when you can shoot the ball well.

They are pretty solid top to bottom.Letsinger is a good all around player and Copeland will get better each game,he will be better in a couple of years than Letsinger is now and thats pretty darn good.They had the misfortune last year of being in 24aa with Kountze and EC and Newton.They will win their district this year however I dont think they can run with Chireno in the playoffs or go big against Goodrich.I hope they do well I always enjoy seeing our kids play them.My prediction is they win that district and go 2 rounds deep in the playoffs.They also seem to have a really good coach.

At least 15.

Actually overall I think this district is gonna be pretty even after you get past HJ.Jasper is very young,BC ,OF,HF and Kirbyville will all be pretty close.WOS and Silsbee will be pretty good when they get their football guys on the same page.This district in my opinion looks like this. 1. HJ 2. WOS 3. Silsbee You can throw a blanket on everyone else because it's to close to call.

TRAMAIN THOMAS-EC

Warren at Deweyville.Even though we came up short it was a war.Esway and Williams put on a show.

Marc Esway-SR-Warren.Held under 140 yards 1 time all season.That was 55 in 1 quarter against EC when he was hurt.Most games Marc rushed for over 200.No doubt he was the key to the Warriors offense.

He won the state title there in 2000.

EC will be pretty solid with Tramain and Preston.Don't mean to ruffle any feathers but I don't see them challenging Kountze.This looks like a 5 on 2 game and Kountze is loaded.They will definitely be in the playoff picture though.This district has some potentially really good teams Ktz,EC,Deweyville,Anahauc and Warren should all field pretty solid clubs.EC is 2 weeks behind the rest of the clubs but they'll be fine.

Amen,we were extremely fortunate for this group to have 2 coaches with such a grasp of the game.Leland laid the ground work for a pretty solid group and Chris record speaks for itself.

Congrats from the folks in Warren on a great year.You represented our district well.11-1 is a great year in anyones book.
