  1. Hope ya get to feeling better Tyler. I remember this kid looking up to me when I was in school, and his dad was my coach, and he would follow us around as a water boy or ball boy, and now I have to look up to him.
  2. They wanted no part of H-J?? That is the best compliment West Hardin has heard all year. Seems as if Hardin Jefferson fans are a little threatened in their dominance of the area. Provided they have not played a team of Hardin Jefferson's caliber, they have only lost one game, and beat that team twice in a row after that, rather convincingly. These boys are good, and when they come to play, they can play with anyone. And yes, if the team that played Big Sandy last night showed up at H-J, it would be closer than you think. I look forward to the game vs. WOS. Probably be the most athleticism W-H has seen all year. I can see coach McCarter's devilish grin, coming back to West Hardin. But behind that is a little nervousness of playing a very surprising and capable underdog. I played for him for 3 years at West Hardin, and we didn't have near the athleticism that these boys do now, or the discipline. He is a great coach, but so is fuller. I can't wait. Good luck Stangs in the first meeting of these schools I can remember and Go Big Blue, earn that respect baby!!
  3. Usually I throw the cast net and shad are my favorite or shad gizzards if you can find them, but I'll use catalpa worms, crawfish, shrimp, Earthworms, cut perch/shad, etc. Usually I have two or three bais with me. I like to run a two hook liter with the weight on the bottom. Tightlining. Never had luck on stink bait of any kind.
  4. You know, if someone wanted to get serious with this, they could research the matter a bit further. They sale a decibel meter at Wal-Mart for about $20 by the car audio equipment. Of course you would have to wait until next season, you could go to a few of the schools where people claim their gym is the loudest on the night of a big game, and get some proof. Of course, it would probably have to be a neutral fan cause exaggeration due to hometown pride would defeat the purpose.
  5. Nope. Not pretty loud. It too, was Rockin!!... ;D
  6. Rod and Reel Catfishing hot spots... Please, any of them. The last 20 times I have went rod and reel catfishing, between me, my uncle, my aunt, and cousins, we only catch small channels, and maybe half of them are big enough to keep. I just want to catch a few in the 5-10lb. range. Anywhere from Rayburn, to Livingston, Conroe, Toledo Bend, or even the rivers. Any tips or hot spots, anyone. Note: I have done a lot of catfishing, I'm just not doing something right, or I don't know where to find them, or something.
  7. WH can win this, if they play like they are capable of. They are more athletic but, they have to be physical when they play. If they play like they did at Big Sandy, then they will lose by double digits again. That game was very bad even considering half of em' were sick, injured, or both. They might have made 25% of their shots and wouldn't put a body on anybody. Simply put, they played like they didn't have a pulse and Big Sandy really wanted it. Sorry for being so hard on you boys, its just that I've seen what you can do. Hope I can make it. I'll get there early and sit with my usual crowd, and we'll refuse to go unheard. 3 things- -focus on evadale 1st, anything is possible -good luck bobcats this friday :-X (hurt me to say that) -GO BLUE!!
  8. > OUCHIE!! I tore my panties tryin to get them out of a wad... Thanks Neon. ;D Just kiddin. Sorry guys, I didn't know it was friendly fire. I knew this sight hadn't had much of that. I should've known better. ....... :'( those were my favorite panites.
  9. Yeah, I'm sure HJ is loud. You guys consistantly put a great b-ball club together every year and have accumulated some serious Hawk Hecklers. Congrats on Dat!... However, a few miles to your west, down 105 last friday night there was a little gym in Saratoga that was beyond capacity as Big Sandy and West Hardin colided as the two heavyweights of the district in their final regular season matchup of the year. Only one way to describe the noise. Deafening. It was awesome. You could feel the energy. Oiler fans on one side, Big Sandy's on the other, with not even standing room available. ..Consistency may go to HJ. : Let me emphasize the "may". But last friday night, the West Hardin gym would run any gym within a hundred miles, a close race. Luv ya Blue!!
  10. Good Job Poppa. I haven't seen many teams play this year, but heard lots about them and from what I hear, you've pretty much nailed it. Pay no mind to the CHILDREN who don't have any business being on here. It takes a certain maturity level among fellow SETX fans to keep websites like this one enjoyable and its sad to see redundant disrespectful comments that bring the overall quality down. This is hands down, the best place to get information on SETX Sports on the net, so please folks (some of you), grow up.
