[IMG][Hidden Content]] CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SUMMER CREEK BULLDOGS ON A FABULOUS UNSTOPPABLE SEASON! The Greatest Show on Turf was beaten today by a very fine 5A Georgetown Eagle team.  Congratulations to GTown on their win and Congratulations in advance for beating the brakes off the remaining 4A Division I field.  Angleton should get ready to turn in their pads.  Angleton is a good 4A and will be robbed by having to play a 5A team next week (as will Dawson after they destroy Nederland next week).  Keep your heads up guys, GTown should have stayed in 5A this year and dropped next year after the 90% senior team left. This GTown team reminds me very much of a Humble team a few years back during their first year dropping to 4A.  Same deal.  We faced a 5A team that year.  The true 4A Humble team was the following year and thereafter. We are the Greatest Show on Turf and THE BEST TRUE 4A TEAM IN THIS REGION hands down. Now, the rest of you can take your shots, but it won't change the fact GTown is robbing 4A teams this year.  Angleton will see next week. SC remains the best 4A team and the rightful State finalist team.  We must apologize to our fans and the remaining TRUE 4A teams as they will not be able to see the Greatest Show on Turf for the remainder of the season.  If you want to get a dose of SC, please visit our game page on Texanallsports.  There's plenty of great footage of us blowing out all challangers in 19-A.
That's a very nice shirt, but you my friend are an embarrassment to Summer Creek.  Give G'Town their props and take that "L".  Those Summer Creek kids are too good for you to post some crap like this!

Where SC would have trouble is on defense. I've seen some mammoth O-lineman on those teams. That aside, SC matches up well. Northshore needs to win some 7-on-7 vs SC in the offseason before trying to beat us in d regular season. Katy owns Northshore anyway. Katy has a smooth striding running back, but that dude is SLOW. I don't see SC going 5A. If anything, Atascocita might drop down to 4A.
Katy would shut you guys out! IMO!
It's a lot of 5A teams that would beat the dog censored out of SC right now... I thought Manvel was tough censored last year too & yes we were a great 4A team.  5A is a rude awakening bro... I know, I'm experiencing it now.  Early in the season PAM would have drug Manvel up and down the field. (and I'm a Manvel fan). Honestly 5A is a whole different ball game in the trenches.  Playing a teams like NS convinced me of that.  When a team has 2 or 3 different, big and talented lines on both side of the ball to throw at you for 4 quarters, depth immediatedly becomes an issue.  And the average 5A team never quit... never!  LP and PAM has learned how to play against the big schools... Scheme wise, clock wise etc... It's not easy bro.  SC can't beat half the teams that lost in the 1st round of 5A playoffs. ex:  PAM, Pearland, Cy Falls, Lake Travis, Cy Fair, Klein Oak, Spring Dekaney... etc  Manvel would probably be ranked #1 4A without the alignment.  Now we just in the middle of the pack taking it one game at a time.  It ain't easy.  There's no Yates, Sharpstowns etc... in 5A playoffs.
I believe the best high school football in the country is played in Texas at the 5a level. I think you might be overstating it a little bit though. Teams like DeSoto, North Shore, Dallas Skyline, Allen, Westfield, and Euless Trinity are usually good year after year because of their talent pool. A team like Katy on the other hand is good because of the system and coaching. Katy has 5 titles I believe but maybe other than lineman don't produce a lot of highly recruited talent in comparison to the previous schools I mentioned. This is why I think Travis is going to have trouble now that their talent pool doesn't dwarf everybody elses. I know everybody is going to say Andy Dalton which I agree with but he became that under Gary Patterson in college, I think he only had like two D1 offers out of Katy. That's why guys like Dean and Mitchell went to college but got beat out by much less sought after kids and transferred. Dean is getting some playing time at TCU right now but that's beacause Waymon James and another guy are hurt. Katy has a good back now but I think if you put any capable back behind that line you get similar numbers, it doesn't even look like a drop off when you put the backup in. Lake Travis was in a similar situation in 4a, great coaching and system but not the Saturday talent you get with a 4a SC right now. Garrett Gilbert is a prime example of this, he was the Gatorade national player of the year and set the Horns back 5 years. He's even killing SMU right now. Manvel is similar to SC where they have good coaching but the main reason they're good is because of their Saturday talent. I think SC would be just like Manvel is right now in 5a if they had the same enrollment. I think SC would beat this year's PAM team too, they aren't as good as last year.
I respect your opinion... I just don't think a team that beat a one dimensional BH team 24-7 this time of year is capable of beating a seasoned 5A team like PAM.  WHATEVER YOU DO BEST... THEY WILL TAKE AWAY!  BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE TALENT & SAVY TO DO IT.   I guarantee half the 4A teams SC played did not have the players on the field to come close to competing like that.  I've been on both sides of the fence... It's a different ballgame.  Your trenches must be nasty bro.  Average skill players and NASTY TRENCHES will get you deep in the playoffs.  (ie KATY) Great skill players and a average trench play will have you in a jam every Friday night. (ie CY FALLS)... JMO...
They also got held to 299 total yards by a 4-7 4a team SC would have rolled up nearly 500 on easily. SC played their worse game of the year on BH and was still up 21 points in the 4th quarter. BH isn't a good example anyway because they run it every play and the games are short with limited possessions. BH is similar to Katy though, not a lot of talent but extremely well coached and disciplined. I think they only gave up more than 24 points once on the season and that was to a team with a rb that's going to have over 2,000 yards this year.
Notice I said this late in the season... PAM would beat Central and BH by 50 right now. The same night!
 9.

You also have to remember, that Katy demolished Humble when it was sporting 5000+ kids.  When your Varsity was as big as ours.  When you were far more talented, far faster, and at times even better coached.  You took it to us one year, only to lose to us in the playoffs in what wasn't even a game.  Ive seen the best Humble area has to offer, trust me some of the names that came out of Humble high school are Texas football legends.  They just weren't enough.    Best team the Humble ISD team i saw was hands down the Wildcats 97 team.  Probably the best i have ever seen, unfortunetly they had their key players out in the playoff game against Beaumont.  shame too, you don't have that sort of talent on your team but once ever 20-30 years.
Humble has never had 5000 kids, this is their highest listed enrollment:[Hidden Content] Gary Joseph is the reason Katy is what it is, not their talent. Prime example - Katy 5 state titles, North Shore 1 Current NFL players                                                                                            Katy                        North Shore                                           Andy Dalton              Corey Redding(Colts)                                                                           Chykie Brown(Ravens)                                                                           Earl Mitchell(Texans)                                                                           Andre Gurode                                                                           Kevin Rutland(Jaguars) Soon to be Trey Hopkins at Texas also. I could put the current college players on there but I would run out of space. Y'all had one big time recruit at Katy and he flamed out at UCLA once he wasn't running behind a high school line that made tunnels. If Gary Joseph was at North Shore with that kind of talent he would have would probably have a college job by now like Chad Morris (Clemson) got when he was at Travis. Has Katy ever won a title in D1?
If Gary Joseph was at NS I would slap (joking) Manvel Coach for scheduling that game!  Team would be a NON-STOP POWERHOUSE! Just to clear that up... I have much love and respect for Coach Kirk Martin @ Manvel.

The trenches are where most 4A teams are LIGHT in comparison to the powerhouse 5A teams.  I stand by what said about the year's SC QB & Receivers giving heck to a lot of 5A schools.
I know those SC kids can play... I have no doubt.  Watch you guys last year when I thought there would be a possible Manvel/SC match-up.  Manvel skill  players (several D1's commits) took us as far as we could go in week 1 vs NS. We got destroyed in the trenches and NS eventually wore us down and took over the game.  I totally understand what you are thinking, but it will not work week in and week out.  Manvel emptied the talent tree from the Freshman team on up... start putting the best talent in game situations until we learned to compete, finish and become well rounded.  Never would have had to do that in 4A bro.  Like I say... I have total respect for LP and PAM for learning how to adjust with the bare minimum.  Most don't bro... honestly most get crushed by mid-season. Look at LT... a few injuries and stiffer competition got them wiped out 1st round, by a average 5A team.  It's for real in 5A.  And SC please don't fall in 21-5A... Please don't.
SC isn't going to 5A with all these high schools around the corner.  A once very proud Humble High School dropped to 4A and they're now STRUGGLING IN 4A!  Humble was a very formidable opponent PRE-Atascocita High School.  Now with SC drawing from the talent pool too, I really think we have three 4A schools in the area.  I don't see the numbers in Humble/Atascocita picking up to compete with a Katy area talent pool. Slo-mo Katy needs to thank God Northshore and Galena Park didn't combine.  If they did, Katy would be getting their tails whooped year in and year out.  Same deal with a combined single Humble school district.  Katy would need motorcycles to keep up with the speed on this side of town.
Manvel 5A (State Finalist 2012), Pearland 5A (2010 Stat Champs), Pearland Dawson 4A (State Semi-Finals 2012)& Hightower (State Finals 2012) All within 8-10 miles of each other... If your area building homes and growing... you'll be there.
You know, it was only two-three years ago your little pocket of Region 3 was spouting off about how "slow" we were.    That Atascocita team that was senior heavy, FAR more talented then this SC team, and we gave them a whooping they would never forget.    We beat them in all phases of the game, It was over before it started.  Speed means very little if your kids don't have the fundementals down.  Just ask North Shore what they think about Katy, and our "Slowness".  How about you ask Humble about our "slowness".  Ask Ike about our "Slowness".  Ask Alief Taylor about our "slowness".  lol  You are beyond hilarious.    Not only would the Tigers take you to the woodshed, we'd give your middle school players nightmares. You'll get your chance their puppies, and when you do, don't say i didn't warn you.  lol
5A displays the true meaning of trench play... Skill positions are equal to me... but trench play between 5A and 4A is a whole other ballgame.  Katy would pound them into submission by mid 3rd quarter.  Speed wouldn't even come into play after mid 2nd quarter.  I've quickly learned to respect the difference between the two divisions.

IMO!
It's a lot of 5A teams that would beat the dog shit out of SC right now... I thought Manvel was tough shit last year too & yes we were a great 4A team. There's no Yates, Sharpstowns etc... in 5A playoffs.
a reminder for next year  8)
Ok... MBG I don't know if you were at the game, but PAM is a very good team and a few turnovers changed the outcome in the 2nd quarter.  PAM is a very good team and had the best secondary Manvel has seen in 5 years of football.  I hope the kids represent well on the next level and those returning work hard, stay healthy and focused.  Be proud of those kids and that team.

 17. Manvel Mavericks vs Dulles Vikings 1:00 Friday, Nov 24th @ Deer Park Stadium HOKA HEY
 18. SC reminds me of Manvel when they were 4A.
 19. Great game! Got my $$$'s worth for sure. I'm very proud of both teams, as each played hard and entertained their fans. Best of luck to PAM, their coaches and of course you supporters. You guys certainly have reason to get on these boards and speak with confidence about those TITANS! That team is loaded with studs, attitude to match and are good as advertised. Hopefully the kids that left the battle injured are doing fine and going to recover quickly. I also hope the fans made the trip home safely. As for Manvel, I know the hot tub is full around the field house... PAM put some nice licks on our guys today. But CONGRATULATIONS to MAV NATION for our 1st 5A playoff win. Hopefully many more will follow. Today our kids stayed on course and fought out a very tough victory. The players and coaches put in work this week and executed a winning game plan. I'm glad Coach Martin went back to his "whatever it takes to win" mode. Yes our QB is great and our receiving core is very strong, but if you can win running the ball... "RUN IT". Our little backs are tough as nails and those guys along with the line put us in the drivers seat tonight. Thanks for sticking with them Coach Martin. Flash, Edmonson and company prepared a great game plan to control Fisk, but AIN'T no controlling that kid. He's is a STUD! McCarley had a very gutsy performance tonight as well. His play was best on 3rd and whatevers and Shane led his team to victory in the end. HOKA HEY  Time to beat the Dulles Vikings now.
 20. PAM 31 LP 24 In my opinion styles make games.  NS style of play benefits what LP has on the Defensive side of the ball.  PAM on the other hand will open the field up and play catch.  Fisk is a very good QB and he scrambles with his eyes still looking down field.  You miss/You pay... for blitz happy teams.  LP is coming off a VERY big win as they straight up put the smack down on NS.  No weather advantages, bad calls etc... they played their butt off and did what they do best.  Make stops and pound the ball.  Worked well last Friday... don't know about this Friday.  IMO styles make games... LP will need their favorite pigskin packer on both sides of the ball to contain PAM offense.  That alone will be advantage PAM.  PAM outscores LP in a very good game!! JMO...
 21. I don't know who took the time to post a vote for West Brook, but you wasted a few seconds of your life.  IJS PAM in a smash fest!!
