Big schools in that district. Our biggest school in 20-4A has a lil over 1500. Odd if angleton does not go D1 with those numbers, but even if it looks odd it really depends on what the other teams do. They beat TC like we would have if we had not been backed up against our own end zone when we were up 16-0. We stopped them two or three times on fourth down, but they finally got in. Our offense had us in a huge hole at the start of the third quarter.

We will be traveling to meet a very hungry, very underrated team in their homeland. I expect them to fight like they are backed up to the gates of hades. I have had lots of friends and girlfriends in Lumberton, and always liked spending time there. Im going to be headed there early!

Seems like every time Ryan St. Clair gets a touch, he goes all out. Very tough physically also. I am one of those who think this will not be an easy game for either team. Our secondary should get their toughest test by far this year. The record shows that they will be up for the challenge, but one must realize that Lumberton can pass effectively and their ground game is good. We need to contain their QB and play solid coverage. We do that, and our offense makes the most of their chances, i think we will be fine. That said, i am looking forward to this game, and there seems to be a more exciting build up to this one. Some fans seem to be looking toward central already, but the players and coaches couldnt care less about them right about now. All they care about is the Raiders. Lets have a safe trip and a clean game for everyone!

Both Stephenville and La Marque dropping would be appropriate. They havent played since 98 when Stephenville beat them 34-7 to win state. They also beat La Marque to win state in 1994 32-17 and in 1993 26-13. Of course we played them in 99 and lost 28-18. They were the 4A team of the 90's with 4 championships that decade.

How about just the 7 local teams and no garbage road trips. There is a 3A district with 6 teams, i dont think its a crime for us to have 7.

I have a feeling there would be a very different demeanor if you actually had to play the cougs the way their playing right now. Good job the feerless predictions are a fun tidbit. You are right, it would be different if we met again. We are a lot better, and its great to see that you have made strides also! Who would have thought our two teams would be in contention for our respective district titles? What a long, strange trip its been. Good luck!

I hope all of you have a safe trip to Port Neches and that both of our teams come in as healthy as possible. I am glad to see Vidor come in during a winning season, and have no doubt that this will be one to remember. It is our homecoming so i hope that we impress all of you with our atmosphere as much as i have been impressed by yours during the two Vidor homecoming shows i witnessed. It was great to hear so many people gasp when the lights went out and the show began. The first time i was almost one of them, but the second time i just smiled. I know i say this every week, but i wish i could be at all 4 district games ;D

Im sure Westlake is very proud of him, another great athlete out of that school. Seth McKinney of the Buffalo Bills, Chris Mihm of the Memphis Grizzlies, and Huston Street who pitches for the Rockies are also Westlake Chaparrals.

The only thing that stands out for us is the defense, which is #10 in 4A.

Id say we are more like an Aegis Cruiser than a destroyer. Tough, sleek and deadly.
