1. This is going to be aired at 2pm on Fox Sports Houston. If anyone knows of other championships on TV today please let us know, but this is the only one i see.
 2.
PNG: Westbrook         PAM         Friendswood, Dayton, Brenham, WOS. Not in any particular order, but would be a great non-district schedule and a great warm up for district.
I agree, my dream pre district schedule, assuming 3 games, is WO-S PAM and WB in that order of schedule.

They werent as fast as PNG fans, but they were fast none the less.
Still got PNG on the brain, you know you shoudn't have won that game huh..........
Explain how we "shouldn't have won that game?".  From where I was sitting we flat out just outplayed you.  It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile...winning is winning.  The would've, should've, could've doesn't matter in sports.
It's ok, they believe everything Dave Campbell writes.
If that were true, we would have never gotten out of our district.  DC had PNG at like #5  in 20-4A.
Yep, i thought it was odd that his mag didnt even having us making the playoffs.
 4.
Now we in dem playoffs we got all kind of boys on here supportin they team. Some you pencil pushers aint been to game one and you be spoutin out the mouth how yo team gonna whoop up on that other team. I bet you a nickel you aint got no clue who da homecomin queen were. Ill de clare theyre got to be some kind a law bout jumpin on a bandwagon and such when you aint got a clue who be the ball snapper. You faifful boys who been suportin all along get in dem stands and holler for dem boys. You suddenly spirited boys go jump in da pond.
I love it, great post and very true. No translation needed here.
 5.
Yea it is amazing....Dayton never gets any coverage either until later rounds of the playoffs and then we're a "Houston" area team as well.  If they'd get out of Houston sometime they'd realize that Yates aint beating anybody outside HISD.
You got that right, if yates can get past El Campo, which is iffy, and yall handle Waller, Dayton has a chance to hammer them all the way back to houston.

 8.
What's up Eagle07? Man, the PNG fans on here are great. But, you are in for a rude awakening. This has been a very entertaining thread. You guys act like you are the only team in Texas that follows your football team. I doubt very seriously you will be sitting anywhere near the 50 yard line on the Cubs side. And as far as our football team goes, you will find out all about it on Friday night. This is going to be a great game, but you better come to play. Baddog stated incorrectly that the last time we played at Reliant a few years ago, PNG won. Wrong. Brenham won that game. And yes, Nederland beat Waller this year in the first game of the season, and Brenham just lost to Waller. Please take the Cubs lightly because of this fact!!! That will buy you a nice early exit from the playoffs. I promise you, you have not played a team with the speed and athletic ability this team is coming with. However, the Cubs are very young, starting four sophomores on defense and playing only six seniors on offense and defense combined. So who knows, maybe next year is our year. We'll see soon enough. I have always admired the passion that the PNG fans bring to the table, but you have gone overboard here. Accusing the Brenham coach of being intimidated by your crowd? Whatever? Accusing the Cub players of trash talking? OK? I think you can ask anyone about the class of Brenham's athletes, and not get an unfavorable comment from anyone. But that's okay. We'll see you Friday, bring your A game!!! You will need it.
It was a Nederland guy talking about their game with Brenham. Welcome aboard! If the Cubs are young then the future is bright, no matter what happens this year.
 9. It does seem like the officiating this year has been off, but i have seen everyone suffer and not just my side. I could be wrong but it just seems that way, and fans i have talked to from elsewhere in the district and beyond have noticed odd things as well.
 10.
Oh yeah PNG fans. Talking to a Angleton coach last week he was talking about if we were to play PNG we would be looking to play in Huntsville at Bowers Stadium.
Not big enough. We are not about to get hosed two weeks in a row. The more room the better, and that goes for everyone. I hope if that game happens we both have a bigger venue.
 11.
20-4A, 19-4A.... It doesn't matter now! There are four teams 4A teams left east of Houston. GOOD LUCK TO ALL FOUR! With some AWEsome football playing hopefully all four will meet each other in three weeks! The real winner is the last one playing. Would be AWEsome if the region III champion went to the schools east of Houston.
Would be doubly awesome if the Region III Championship was between PN-G and Dayton!
 12.
thorne is not going to fit PNG
You got that right. Between us and Brenham its not nearly enough.
 13.
I've yet to see Brenham but my guess is they're going to have a similar team to the one they had last year.  I've seen PNG play the last two weeks and here is why I think PNG will win.... PNG is an EXTREMELY well coached and disciplined team that makes very few mistakes.  The schemes are fresh and creative and the players are put in position to play to their strengths (example - fade route to #19 against Central CB who was at least 6 inches shorter).  As I've heard a few of the PNG posters say....PNG will wear you down and take control in the 4th quarter.  I agree with this assessment and I think the same thing will happen this Friday.  #18 makes good decisions, has good timing, and is right on the money with his throws.  Receivers run good routes and catch the ball really well.  #7 Running back is shifty, has good vision, runs hard, and is easy to lose track of behind the massive offensive line.  The offensive line pass blocks pretty well but run blocks extremely well.  The defense is extremely solid and plays fast.  The front seven is solid against the run and the secondary is opportunistic.  They mix up the schemes well in moving from zone to man coverage and get a really effective outside pass rush especially on passing downs.  I give PNG the advantage in all these areas... Brenham's only advantage based on last year is they will have 1 or 2 true gamebreakers on offense or special teams that can change the game.  PNG's only real weakness or shortcoming that I've seen is no homerun threat.  This is an outsider's observation as to why I and in my opinion you should disagree with BoboandBlair.  Yes they're going to be faster at the skill positions but you will be more skilled and you're >= as good in the trenches.  If Brenham is better than last year and is even with you in the trenches then I give you the victory because of the edge in coaching.  Brenham will be hard hard pressed to beat you!
I can find no fault in your analysis. After a few more years in the system, we will have players who have been in the new system for a while and then we will see more of those home run threats emerge.
 14. Im fine with whatever any team wants to call themselves. Its none of my business. Two of the best mascots around here are the Sabine Pass Sharks and the Evadale Rebels in my opinion.
 15. I wish i could figure out how to download that highlight video.

 17. As long as we play on friday night it suits me fine. What BISD does is the business of their taxpayers and theirs alone. I would much rather my large neighbor to the north have good facilities. Hopefully the scheduling remains uniform throughout the season, with the same schools playing on friday and saturday and so forth.
 18. Its going to be a home game for the 19-4A teams but its the only thing close to neutral unless we want to go west. Going to be a lot of fun, i wish there were one game on friday and then the other 3 on saturday for 19 VS 20. Good luck this last week everyone and NO injuries!
 19. Boy ah tell yu wut, ah'll be at that thar babe in that thar bomunt to see that thar tribe take on them thar katz. Thars gunna be a lotta dem ol' drums poundin on the north side fryday nite! Hollar for them thar boys that wurked thur tails off and dont be a yeller bellied pencil pusher!

 21. I hate seeing these outlandish predictions, they are a total waste of space. With that said i think mistakes will play the biggest role. Could be good old fashioned turnovers, blown coverage or bad special teams. I dont see the difference in score being greater than ten here. As far as comparisons go, yes we are very balanced and hard to stop. I know central has thrown the ball a lot less than we have but that doesnt mean they cannot. Defensively we are no doubt the best in total yards and points scored against us, and honestly its not even close, provided one can interpret the statistics. However what really matters is who plays the best on Friday November 6th 2009. From what i have seen we are big enough, quick enough, strong enough, and intelligent enough to pull this one out. I call this one for my tribe by ten points or less.
