No... They still have great teams every year, everyone else just happened to catch up. I'd put the Nederland, Vidor, and PNG teams from 05-06 among some of the best teams to ever come out of the district.

Good luck to all the teams this year. Im going to try to make it to the Southeast Texas Showcase this year. I loved it when I was a player. My junior year I remember walking to the bus after a game with Nederland and Davy A. just happened to have watched that game.... Quite an experience having a pro watch YOU play instead of the other way around. lol

Who cares about how many people make all-district. I doubt there are alot of players who play the sport to make it anyways. They play because they love it and to represent their school. If 50-60 kids make all district thats just a +. Why try to make somthing that is suppose to be a posative turn into a negative!? One more thing... 99.9% of the kids who made it last year DID earn it... Im saying that as a player.

Hmm, perhaps at home... BUT.... Nederland has NOT WON or SCORED on Vidor IN Vidor since the 05 season?? Plus, we did finish right in front of ya'll last year! I know Nederland is going to have an amazing team this year and will only get stronger in the years to come. The kids from Vidor have allot of heart and where they lack in talent they more then make up in work ethic. It’s going to be a good game... doubt Nederland will "smash" them though. Lol

Its an actual indoor soccer field. Its got goals build into the walls and each end and is oval with a huge net drapped over it so the ball cannot be kicked out.

There is one in the Shelia Umphrey Rec Center at Lamar..... My friends and I play there alot. Me and Payton Smith actually played for 3 hrs last night. They have a 5v5 league starting soon. May be for students only, not sure.

I was a freshman and remember going to watch that game with a few LCM players that were on my club team. Heck of a Game!!

Kirby is a great player. I just wish I had the chance to play with/against him while I was still in High School instead of watching. Gratz Matt, good luck!!

As a fan I am going to have to say Nederland vs Vidor. I would also like to see Lumberton vs Vidor because Tim Reynolds and Brent Waldrup are going to battle it out durring that game!

I got a scholarship from a school in North Carolina. I think im going to end up playing at UT-T as well...... I have a tryout with Lon Morris coming up.

I knew it all along!! I even painted myself for 2 of the last 3 games, ha!

Yea, I didnt do too great this summer. I didnt get to many touches with the ball so yea, my ball handling was off pretty bad. Durring the HS season i played center-mid and got the ball alot more, which I liked. My 1v1 got to where there really wasnt a person I couldnt take 1v1 and beat. But, your right, my finishes arnt that great!

I cant wait to hear about all these guys as Seniors. I played against the freshman from Nederland AND Scott Poole and until I was told, i have no clue Poole was a freshman. He was calm and collected and seemed to play the way older players with experience play. The freshman from Nederland were very good as well, but, a couple of them seemed to lose their cool tward the end of the game. Im not bashing the Ned players by any means, they were unbelievable for freshman. They both impressed me and i cant wait to watch them in the future!

Yea, I played with Ben Hanks and Horning over the summer. Hanks has amazing control and 1v1 skills! Horning does a great job controlling the defense and isnt to shabby with the ball at his feet! I also played with Joe from Silsbee. He's VERY fast and has pretty good 1v1 skills with a pretty shot to top everything off. They should all be candidates to make this team.

i know.... people also call it the French National Team as well. But, sence the Mexican NT is a little worse at it, I decided to put Mexican National Team...... So.... Yea....
