  1. Well there is some truth to what you heard. Lumberton has some bad calls on them, but they wearnt anything big. Vidor had 2 goals taken away. The ref decided to call offsides twice AFTER the goals had been scored and we were celebrating.
  2. Tiger, we may talk alot of "smack" but our team can back up 99% of what we say. So far, Vidor has given Lumberton the best game. As a matter of fact, if it would have been a diff. officiating crew i am sure the game would have been 4-3 Vidor. I hope you come to a game so you can see for yourself.
  3. Once Travis gets a little speed he will be unstoppable! Already has all the movies a soccer player could ever want. I think within the next couple years his speed will increase and he will become a monster threat for Vidors attack.
  4. I have faith in Kelly.... There going to win 3-0 tomorrow.... thats right, IN THE MUD, ha.
  5. When we last played LCM there keeper came flying out of the box and shut down 7 or 8 break aways that could have easily been converted into goals. If LCM's new keep doesnt come out then the speed of our forwards and mids will have LCM's D running around like crazy all night long!
  6. We have a captain at Right mid (Austin Greenway), one at defense (Jacob Jackson) and me, at center mid.
  7. Maines is an amazing coach! Some may call me bias, but I don’t care. Coach Maines worked his butt off to learn this sport so he wouldn’t let us down! I have been in the soccer program at Vidor for 4 years now and I have to say that Coach Maines was the most committed coach we have ever had. Watson built this program from nothing, then left. Yes, he was an amazing coach, but he knew this game inside out because he had been around it all his life. Maines had to work to where he is now. I know there may be smarter coaches but there is not a coach out there that gets along with there players or is as committed as Travis Maines.
  8. The loss of LCM's keeper is tragic. I remember when we last played them he shut down many fast breaks by coming far out of the goal, something many keepers wouldn’t do. He is a great player and I hope this doesn’t effect LCM's team to drastically. I would like a good hard fought game from them on Friday!
  9. Shark, I understand where your coming from and respect your point of view. Being a senior I understand that the Vidor program has come a very long way in the past 4 years. Please don’t mind allot of the "trash talk" that goes on because a majority of these posts are not done by the soccer team. All the insulting names and posts have come from fans and friends of the players. I thank you for commenting us on having a good team and hope you will get to watch us once again. The mentality of the team right now is set on winning district. That may sound ludicrous since Lumberton has emerged as the dominate team, but, we are very confident we can beat them. I apologize for any crude/ offensive comments that have been posted. And by the way, this is one of Vidor’s captains and I want to thank you on the compliment.
