3.
Vidor is the real deal and the Cardinals will certainly have their hands full. I don't think Vidor "pitches a shutout" in this one as many have predicted. This same Vidor squad beat a very talented BC team last year in a monsoon that played right into the Pirates hands, absolutely made the passing game an afterthought. If BC can execute their offense and not turn the ball over they can keep the score respectable, if not it could be a really really long night for BC. I look for Vidor to have long time consuming drives and really doing a number on time of possession, not the breakaway speed burners BC saw last week in Newton. Vidors depth will be a factor late in the game also. Just too much for the Cardinals to overcome. (secretly hoping for a BC win but also being a realist) Vidor-35 BC    -14 Rake1
The misconception of Vidor only having really long, drawn out scoring drives is only a factor while playing really tough defenses. Expect Vidor to score quick and often in this one. Vidors backups will once again get playing time and Quirante will not run the ball very much.
 4. never heard of Santa Fe but im excited they are the first victim, Vidor      -42 Santa Fe -9 3 field goals ....for Santa Fe... They sound like a team with a Carranco playing for them! ;D
 5. I heard the Dogs are going to be playing a 6th grader at QB ;D [Hidden Content]

 7.
is this the same WO-S that supposedly trashed the bulldogs last week?
This was posted by Bamahater under I got my answer last week I asked if the bull pups were overrated and after getting their noses rubbed in the carpet by a good 3A team I guess I got my answer. Nederland is very questionable this and will def struggle this year in district
Gave you an applaud on this one, BrenhamFan. I agree...  Vidor.
Thanks.  Haha.  Now hope PNG & the rest of 20-4A will make the pirates walk the plank, so we can avoid the Vidor talk.
I would not say delusional,  just proud with out reason ;D and the Vidor talk is gonna happen no matter what!!! If we are not dominant we will have reasons why  8)

Things can happen Here is my only hitch with Vidor and this is true you went what two rounds deep last year. If you were more than a one dimensonal team you might have a chance to do very well but i agree with Brenhem fan there are teams in your district that can shut you down. You line 8 in the box and man cover the recievers you can shut down a mis directional offense Please excuse all my misspelled words I am not very good at it  Lets get the gear on and then start talking.
Lol people like you make me laugh. Shut down our "one dimensional" offense? Really? Not one team we played last year shut us down. Heck noone held us to less than 15 points in the whole season. We averaged 360 yards a game and 29.5 points a game. Wow.  ::) And we went 3 rounds deep in the playoffs. Next time you might wanna read what you write before you post it.
twocents, if my memory serves me correctly, Nederland held your vaunted Pirate offense to under 200 yards last season...not certain but i can sure find out for sure tonight...irregardless, that O was held pretty much in check all night by Nederland. Look buddy, Vidor had a great season last year and should be proud of that success, but don't come on this board acting like they are a lock for a 9-1 or 10-0 season because they are not
Yep, Vidor had only 178 yards against Nederland last season, so to say that "no one" stopped their offense would be inaccurate
not making excuses but Nederland did hurt Bollinger on the second drive of the game, it was well known he was our best running back and quirante was hurt in the second quarter... that took away most of our offense... that is relevant losing our best weapons...
your welcome to join us on our quest for the 2012 5A D2 State Championship.  8)
No problem, as soon as we combine Ned and png, to form one big 5a. Used to smoke u when y'all had to 4a, so let us combine r schools and the azz whippings would continue.
Team first, ya'll are good not that good.... PAM would smoke ya'll... and you want to combine with nederland? You would have to combine them, Ozen, and Central before yall would have a chance... haha
 14. So pumped although i heard the defense would be a little different. I heard there will be 5 backers on the field? oh well. we shall see
 15. Are you referring to the one game  it did happen or the 5 it didnt? we did alot better last year with close games... granted we lost a close Nederland one but pulled out close wins on ozen, lumberton, livingston, texas, and LC-M i think it was
 16. Kid is a beast.. I like watching WO-S when my boys arent playin... they got some talent.

Vidor.....Pirates return 9 on defense and 5 on offense including Montana Quirante who should have been the Super Gold player of the year. Add coaching to the plus side due to our maturing staff. Also, we play PNG, Nederland, Central and Ozen at the BONEYARD!!! 2. Nederland....beat us on a 4th and 18 play in Nederland with 2:00 to play....not this year. 3. Central....coaching is your issue. 4. PNG....tradition will carry them to the playoffs but will battle with Ozen for this spot.
Home field has not helped you against Ned and PNG much so far.  2 wins vs PNG and 3 wins vs Ned in the last 11 years.
We are not arguing past 11 years, in all reality last year and this upcoming year are some of the most talented and prepared teams i have seen. They know how to avoid the Vidor ending as I like to call it.( Do awesome the whole game then just come up short at the end haha
 18. But Quirante is will be the best player in district next year!!! woo throw your V's up 8) "my two cents"
 19. I dont argue who is better I am proud to see our boys representing well in the state of Texas
 20. Dont worry about him....He is getting looks...A&M came down to vidor 2 weeks ago and left "throwing their V's up" so he will be alright.... come September people will remember why he is elite

I think he has earned his spot on that list Montana Q on the other hand doesn't even have a profile on any of the major scouting sites and he doesn't have any scholarship offers that I know of.
Dont worry about him....He is getting attention A&M came and took a look 2 weeks ago...  8) people will be reminded why he is elite come September!!! My mistake on the profile thing but they are still working on the reel... They had it and then there were technical difficulties but he is getting attention from the right people... Dont worry A&M visited Vidor about 2 weeks ago 8) Well i can't really argue with this ff. I can only argue what i saw and from my point of view Montana is a better player than Collins. But that's just my opinion. Maybe if someone were to send some highlight reels of montana out and get him some attention i wouldn't be the only one thinking so. And i would argue against the not being able to make your own profile on some of those recruiting websites. I know a few kids who have done so. Montana just isn't one of them.
He does not set up a profile or still to my knowledge, has not sent out his highlights to people yet...haha thats pretty relevant... He does not entertain scouts or coaches like some of these others do.... It is not people underestimating or demeaning his abilities. He just does not solicit his talent like others do... Once he decides to do so he will get recognized...nothing to worry about, im sure he is not the only elite one left off the list... Some people dont need to be on the list to know that they are still elite haha

Politics much??  ::)
It also goes by size and stuff.  Also y'all don't throw enough to get much recognition at QB.
Yeah i know we don't throw enough but the QB they have on the top has the same offense and q had more passing yards than him. And Q started on both sides of the ball and hardly ever touched the bench and had better stats than the other guy on both sides of the ball yet he doesn't make the top 200 and the other guy makes top 50. If that's not slanted than i don't know what is.
Quirante is an elite athlete. He will not play QB at the next level unless it's in an offense life air force or georgia tech haha... but no doubt he has everything you want in a player but the elite arm... I am not saying he cant throw, i am just saying it's not the best...He looks like any other linebacker throwing the ball  :o haha jk
 24. I think I am gonna just have to throw ma V's up on this one!!! ;D
