  1. Both teams played well. PNGs first goal was off a corner...LCM defenders did not mark up...it was a good goal. The second goal came after a one on one breakaway, once again another good goal well placed. LCM had a couple of chances but just cant find the net lately. I feel that the teams were evenly matched, at times LCM controlled the field and there were times that PNG controlled the field. There was one card given to #9 on PNG, but overall a well played soccer game
  2. Now this conversation has hit an all time low!!! Players and fans of teams have and will always be biased towards their home team. But to state that the ref cused out a player.... I have never heard any ref in this district curse at a player and yes I have been sidelines for 6 years now.
  3. I think that a lot of green and gold will be there cheering on the black and gold!!!
  4. What would it take to have an intelligent conversation on this forum? People who actually know, love, and respect the game. Shark, Bon, SETX, Smity, (im sure there are others I left out…I apologize) Most often soccer is treated as second hand sport for the most asinine reasons, but every once in awhile there are those who claim to be soccer fans and or players who embarrass the game and the rest of us who continually strive to keep soccer legit in Joe Public’s eye.
  5. Here is the only post from LCM soccer regarding last nights game. Ethan McKay has a broken collar bone...Marvelous Driver has severely bruised ribs (no breaks) Coach Wedel has informed his players to stay off the message board until further notice... Im sure that several people who have made other moronic posts are going to reply to this one. There are users on the soccer forum that need to grow up. It is wrong to make light of any players injuries especially season ending injuries. This district must have three refs at all central games. It does not matter who they are playing. The game last night got out of control quickly with no attempts from the refs to rein it back in. There were also two cards given to central players, im wondering how many they have total now???
  6. once again I agree with Bon_Mot... i've got to stop doing that!!!
  7. I know that Wedel and most of his LCM boys would come and watch that one.
  8. Bon_Mot was right about one or two plays making a difference. Yes the field was not in the best shape, yes the refs made or missed some questionable calls but that is soccer...LCMsoccer soccer said it best-Nederland did out play LCM, NO EXCUSES...I bet the rematch is going to be another barn burner. LCM will make their needed adjustments, so will Nederland. players, parents, and fans of high school soccer--we need to get more attention to the boys and girls who are playing their butts off for us every Tuesday and Friday night. How you ask...start calling the TV stations days in advance and ask them why they are not covering these ATHLETES!!! We, contrary to popular belief, are not a second hand sport. This is a ten team district (boys). Lets say that the teams average 18 players, that is 180 ATHLETES that are getting ZERO coverage...that could and should be a ton of pressure on the media in our area!!!
  9. we already had this discussion Man U fan!!! dont rub it in... without a doubt your opinion is the final thought on this matter for me, well said Bon_Mot
  10. Bon_Mot im sure both Bledsoe and Wedel will have their boys ready for this showdown. I know that the LCM players understand the pressure that Nederland is going to put on every green jersey. LHS - I know that Craig has not let scoring 6 goals against WOS go to his head. His coach played him twenty minutes of the first half when he scored his first four. The second half he played the first 5 minutes at forward and then 20 more at center mid. I also know that LCM soccer treats every team the same way, and that is with respect. I heard that LCM scored 6 times in the second half. All subs were played and 3 goals could have been easily scored as own goals since the WOS goalie caught, dropped, or fell back into his own goal. This is going to be one incredible game. I just hope that both sides are filled with as many fans as possible yelling for their teams. Every news station needs to have their cameras out there ready to roll tape. Because both squads are starting hit their mid season stride. I can’t wait for Friday night...Good Luck Nederland, Good Luck LCM!!!
