Although both teams have punched their tickets to the 4A playoffs, much is still on the line for the Tigers, 23-5 on the season and 10-0 in district and the Hawks, 25-7 on the season and 9-1 in district. As round 1 of this series went to Tigers on January 19th, 72-62, they can clinch the 24-4A title and the #1 seed with a win tonight. A Hawk win will draw them even with the Tigers. 18. A couple of Orange County rivals battle for the final spot out of 24-4A tonight as the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears travel down Hwy 87 to visit the West Orange-Stark Mustangs. Both the Bears, 9-20 on the season and the Mustangs, 8-16, both stand at 4-6 in district play after Tuesday as the Bears fell to Hardin-Jefferson, 54-42, and and Mustangs fell to Bridge City, 59-44. This is rematch of the January 19th battle at the Bear Cave which the Bears took 61-52. A Bear victory clinches the final spot while the Mustangs keep their playoff hopes alive with a win.
