Dear Captain of the Pirates Hip, First Kelly is a team in this area, so they should be considered in this topic..if it was a rankings of yalls district it would be diffrent....and thats the same excuse we always hear when we play area teams. But FYI in kellys first game we were complimented on being a team that looked like we were in midseason form, so maybe yall can be the same way if yall practice hard enough, i mean this honestly when i say, i hope that yall can give us a run for our money when we play yall.. so good luck with practice and i guess we'll see you in january.

How could you rank any of those teams higher than Kelly and WB

Are you kidding me?? the worst teams on kellys schedule are the ones from this area. not saying that our area doesnt have good teams because we do for example.. kelly, WB, Ned., Lumberton, and Central. but please look at our schedule again and do a little research on the teams we play... and like Benmister said if vidor beats us, than we will definitel congratulate yall.. and i really hope your season reaches your expectations, because it sounds like yall should be amazing the way you are typing.

Acctually Kelly has 6 super two, Matt Horning, Ben Hanks, Brent Fiedler, John Beaver, Ben Alvarado, and Hunter Allen. and the U19 age group, im ALMOST positive that it is all one big division...im not to sure that we are considered Division 1, Super 2, or Division 2..i THINK at that age(at least this year) it is all one level. But i could be wrong about the division thing.

I believe the Kelly girls team is doing extremely well.. i think they have lost two games to teams that have starting lineups riddled with upperclassmen. and i think that kelly starts something like six underclassmen. as of now they are in second in their district and are improving exponentially. The new coach has the girls working very hard. if the team keeps improving, good things should come out of their post season.

playing club together is a great way to advance your play as a team because you get to know each other as players and can start reading the players pretty well. However, club isnt the only reason why teams are good. Some times the chemistry between players is naturally amazing, which is why lumberton and central did well...and another thing about central, im not sure how many club players they had last year but i would put some big money on the fact that they play together whenever possible, i play club with four or five central players this year and there timing is scary good, they just know each other. I dont think anyone is trying to say club is the only reason a team is good it is just a huge help...and even if you are playing club on a team with none of your high school teamates, it is still great because it gets you more practice and games, which helps your skill and decisivness witht the ball, it also keeps you in shape... and even teams with only four or five club players can win in the 22-4A because it is not the toughest district and with the exception of like four teams, everyone else only plays high school. so that is why lumberton and central did so well.. and that is why i think nederland along with Lumb and Cent will do well this year

haha, no you didnt play kellys club team.. you played a team with two kelly sophmore varsity players and and one sophmore jv player.. the team was coached by four of kellys upperclassmen varsity players, but that team was closer to being nederlands underclassmen team than kellys club team. Six varsity kelly players are on U19 Spindeltop Select and we have three others in the Texans and one of the texans is also a dynamo..so you played two out of our eleven club players...

I agree with what you say about PNG and Vidor but as far as district champs im giving it to Central and lumberton will get second but i would like to see nederland get second im just not sure it will happen. As far as West Brook they have good leadership in the seniors but i dont know how strong the underclassmen will be, they should be a lot of fun to watch this year....and for Kelly well we so far are doing well, and of course we are the best team in the area and will be when the other teams seasons pick up also

you can call us whatever you want because at kelly i guess we arnt as touchy about our name as some of you stark boys.

OVERRATED????DECENT?? i guess winning district, going 9-1, having 5 seniors AT LEAST going to D1 colleges for sports, being ranked second in our area small schools(should have been first but that argument is done with), and not losing to any UIL teams (even though the ones we played from this area were awful) doesn't really prove anything.

look at the records and stats. and i believe that WOS stark lost to Bay City and Bay City lost to St. Pius and St. Pius lost to Kelly.. Kelly wins and i would even say in a huge way

The first half kelly was not kelly, the second half kelly outplayed pius. it wasnt luck that a coach called a pass on a Third and 8, and it wasnt luck that made sullivan intercept the ball. It wasnt luck that got two touchdowns called back. It wasnt luck that put the fire inside the players. It wasnt luck that kelly outplayed pius in the second half. And finally it wasnt luck that won the game for kelly.

Goal by Matt Kirby assisted by Hunter Allen (i think). It was a very good game with two very good teams.. Kelly played good and smart....until the end when some idiot got a soft red on kelly... even with ten players the dawgs played with poise.. Major props are given to Nathan Stockie and Ben Alvarado, both making clutch saves...and Ben A. wasnt even the keeper.. Everything looked pretty good for the dawgs tonight from the defense up to the midfield and on up to the forwards.
