For one....smaller class size more time for one on one instruction.... I do understand your logic however...but you grew up inner city I'm guessing, some people prefer a more rural setting, small town feel where everyone knows each other... When they do go to a a smaller town sometimes it's instant rockstar status....

D, it's not just sour lake... It's Every direction people are leaving...And there is nothing wrong with Sour lake... It's a great school...

It takes more than parent(s)/grandparents.  :) [/quote] Believe it or not, HJ's support has been down this year by way of their student section, they only show up for the big games..But I do love seeing all of the former students, parents, & athletes that show up every night. The passion for support the community has is addicting..

I still say that the reason for ozen's lack of domination as in the past, is that the talent is spread out throughout the Beaumont schools more evenly. Yes coaching is a big part of it too. Maybe not the x's & o's, but as dove said when the kids buy into what the coach is teaching, it makes a huge difference...Kids knew when they strapped them up at Ozen when Boutte was there they didn't second guess him because of his success. Dont fool yourself, Kids see that. Now you have a plethora of coaches in the stands...

I agree HFMOM...I do not have a kid on the team but I will travel as far as I need to, to get my Basketball fix...High school sports is where its at.

Hmmm good topic, last year I think Silsbee would have went undefeated...earlier in the year there was 5 3a schools in the top ten...I think that the talent is spread out between the Beaumont schools more than it used to be...

However the way in which a worded the heading appears as though it stemmed from a recent event as you stated... I did think that you thought that I must have had a recent issue, maybe with your hometown team, which I can understand you wanting to defend them. This I understand, just as you have witnessed the same thing from me before. I can assure you that as far as the kids at WOS I have the utmost respect for them, over the last 3 or 4 years ...I have been very impressed with their sportsmanship...If its worth anything I don't mean to be so cliche, but I thought you were reading a book by its cover..I respect your loyalty to your school. I do think that you thought my response would have been inflammatory just as stevenash said..but I would have tried my best to pull it out of you if the roles were reversed...that you know to be true as well unfortunately.. No disrespect meant... Just everyone trying to defend there extended family...
