  1. Just shows that you still have to play the games and that some teams match up better against some teams than others, along with the fact that you may see different pitchers than other teams see.
  2. Getting hot at the right time, could they be this year's LCM?
  3. probably part time starter depending on who pitches.
  4. Wouldn't say it means nothing. Playoffs are all about matchups and sometimes different teams matchup better than others, also you may wind up on the opposite side of the bracket as a better team that gets beat in a one game playoff. Seeding and timing means a lot more than you would think. You look at the region 3 bracket and there are most definitely easier paths for some teams than others. But like you say our 4A district has done fairly well as of late sending WOS to the state finals and LCM to region finals just last year.
  5. Agreed he would be in the top several pitchers in the 4A district. They could also hit as well as the other 4A teams I have seen this year.
  6. Might as well play another game. Many other districts don't wrap up until Friday night anyway.
  7. Cards Win! Clinch a playoff berth for the 17th straight year Cards 15 15 2 HF 5 6 6 Hamm HR Romero HR (4-4) Dubois 2B Goodman W
  8. Nice breakdown, thanks for spending the time to do this.
  9. Yes district opponents can only meet in 3rd and regional final round. By looking at the brackets if they did a simple switch you could change that to the 4th and 5th rounds which I like the chance of proving who the toughest district is. Also be aware that with the change in district number, our district will meet a much tougher district in the first round with the likes of Hudson, Jasper, Huntington. Rather than the Huffman district who we have seen in the first round for many years with the Coldsprings, Shepherd, and Tarkington. Splendora was typically the two seed, but has moved up to 5A. But remember HJ moved to that district now and looks to be the favorite to win it. They will matchup with intercity Houston schools first round.
  10. Don't forget that Robinson is still in region 3.
  11. Guess it's a good thing we know now. AAW late to the party.
  12. Bridge City baseball looking for a game for Monday 3/6 or Tuesday 3/7. Please contact [email protected] if interested.
  13. Kelly looked very strong at the plate. Look like they could have a chance to be very special again in their division. Look like they would fit in well in the local 4A district as well.
  14. Bellville will be very solid this year. They had Bridge City on the ropes last year. Bellville was young and are very solid with their ace on the mound.
  15. First scrimmages are less than a week away post your info here.
