The Orangefield Bobcats (14-11, 1-1) #6 in the HoopInsider poll, will travel down to Silsbee(19-2,2-0) to do battle with the #6 state ranked and #1 HoopInsider, Tigers in 21-3A district action Friday night the 22nd @ 7:30pm. The Bobcats are coming off their first district loss of the season as they fell at home to Hardin-Jefferson, 54-40. Silsbee remained undefeated in district with a 72-47 win over Bridge City Tuesday night but it wasn't one of the better games from the Tigers. Silsbee swept Orangefield last year in district play. Silsbee rebounds from a very poor second half effort against Bridge City. Orangefield  52 Silsbee        80

I could careless what team he plays for. I am not questioning that he is a good runningback. I think he is very good. I am only questioning that he runs a 4.3 40. I follow enough football, around enough football players and follow track very well. I have seen 4.3 40 guys run and what I have seen on this video, is not 4.3 speed, football speed or not.

So fouling when up by over 30 with less than a minute to play just to get the ball back just to enable yourself to score 100 points is THAT important? Priorities are pretty messed up. ::)

I would think all teams would try to not let the opponent score 100. ::)
I only saw him ran down from behind only 2-3 times.  There were several occasions where the got him with a good pursuit angle.  There was also a kid from C-C that ran him down once or twice, but thats not a knock on Ford.  C-C won the state track meet last year, and set the 2A record in the 4x400. I would be surprised if he didn't run a low 4.5 or a legit 4.4.  He should be one of the biggest sought after recruits in the class of 2011.
According to Scout and Rivals list of 2011 recruits, he is not that big a recruit, yet. ;) I think he is a legit 4.5.

I saw at the beginning of this highlight reel it showed Ford has a 4.3 40. I have to question that. 4.3 40 runningbacks do not get caught from behind. Ford was run down a few times on this highlight reel. Trey Franks of WOS is a legit 4.3 guy, won the 3A 100 meters. I have seen both run, Ford is no 4.3 40 guy. I will be posting Jeremy Johnson's highlight video soon. JJ is a 4.5 40 guy and you'll see him run away from defenders several times. I say this not saying that Ford isn't fast, he is just not 4.3 fast.

In this case, Yates didn't "need" to score, they were up by 30 with less than 2 minutes to play. I see that as a big difference. A team holding the ball with under 2 minutes left leading by 30 is doing what they can to keep it from getting out of hand. If a team is holding the ball and is trailing by 30 with under 2 minutes to play, then why would the team that is leading care if they did that? That would insure a win for them.

Up 30 and fouling on every inbounds play so that they can get the ball back in order for them to score over 100 points. PATHETIC!!!! People that are in support of this kind of coaching are simply clueless.
